The Greatest Threat To Israel Today Is Lebanon

Israel 365: Lilach Shoval, Yisrael Hayom’s military correspondent, reported in its Hebrew language news on Saturday that “despite the economic crisis in Lebanon, or perhaps because of it, the threat from Lebanon is more dangerous than ever.”

“The prevailing assumption among Israel’s security officials is that the Lebanese chaos can keep Hezbollah from taking violent action against Israel,” Shoval wrote. “But history has shown that such a crisis can bring rivals together in order to confront a common external enemy.”

She noted that the head of Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hassan Nasrallah, has engaged in a “blood for blood discourse” towards Israel, expanding this to include vowing revenge for Israeli attacks against Hezbollah terrorists operating inside Syria.

This threat is made even more volatile by the presence of Hamas in Lebanon. Read More …

Opinion: Israeli and Palestinian sources say the Arab guerrillas use Iranian funding and instructions to produce rockets. The combined rocket arsenal of Hezbollah and Hamas is estimated at 70,000-150,000 aimed at Israeli cities.

The Psalm 83 Alliance:

Psalm 83 names Hamas (the tents of Edom – Ps. 83:6), Hezbollah (the inhabitants of Tyre – Ps. 83:7), Jordan (Ammon, Moab, Edom), Assyria (northers Syria/Iraq), Saudi Arabia (Ishmaelites), Egypt (Hagrites) in a last ditch attempt to wipe out Israel.

When Israel defeats all of its Arab neighbors, Russia will have been watching. When the Arabs fail, Gog, a prince of Russia (Ezekiel 38:1-2 NIV), will have no choice left but to invade:

I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their sword” Ezekiel 38:4

Israel will be defenseless …

“After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety.” Ezekiel 38:8 NIV

God will use this war in miraculous ways:

  • Ezekiel 38:21-22 To defeat Gog and his armies
  • Ezekiel 38:23 To magnify Himself to the nations, that they will know the Lord
  • Ezekiel 39:7    To make His name known ‘in the midst’ of His people’ Israel
  • Ezekiel 39:11  To bury Gog and his attackers in the land of Israel and cleanse the land
  • Ezekiel 39:21  To set His glory among the nations so that all will see His judgment on the nations
  • Ezekiel 39:22  So the house of Israel shall know the Lord their God from that day forward
  • Ezekiel 39:28 So Israel will know that the Lord their God sent them into captivity but brought them back from the land leaving none behind.
