Rouhani Has Exposed the Futility of European Diplomacy

Gatestone Institute: The reality of the delusional approach adopted by Mr Macron and other European leaders was, though, brutally exposed the moment Mr Rouhani arrived in New York. Instead of showing any sign of seeking to repair Tehran’s strained relationship with the West and its allies, he instead indulged in an orgy of self-justification in which he sought to portray his country as an innocent victim of Western aggression rather than accepting, as is really the case, that Iran was the primary instigator of the latest escalation in tensions.

  • “The security of our region shall be provided when American troops pull out.” — Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, UN General Assembly, September 25, 2019.
  • This will have made for uncomfortable listening for all those European leaders who still believe that the best way to resolve the global crisis with Iran is by trying to save the nuclear deal. more…

Opinion: EU leaders fail to see that one-sided attempts at peace (Iran nuclear deal) are seen as weakness by the mullahs. Iran’s obsession to kill Jacob (Genesis 27:41) is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11).

The entire struggle of God’s people and the land of promise has been written for all who care to see:

But I have said to you, “You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am the Lord your God, who has separated you from the peoples.” Leviticus 11:24

This separation from the nations is a prophecy that has been consistent for more than 3500 years. In Numbers 23:9 God says His people are not reckoned among the nations. How incredibly accurate that verse is for today. The UN has spent more time condemning tiny Israel than the rest of the world combined. source

Two of the more than 500 UN resolutions against Israel show a startling contrast between two US presidents:

1. UN Resolution 2334

Enter Barack Obama:

In a first, on December 23, 2016 President Obama instructs Samantha Power to abstain, as 14 members of the UN Security Council passed Resolution 2334:

  • That Israel′s settlement activity constitutes a “flagrant violation” of international law and has “no legal validity”.
  • It further demands that Israel stop such activity and fulfill its obligations as an occupying power under the Fourth Geneva Convention.

2. UN Resolution 242

Enter Donald Trump:

In a first, on November 16, 2018, the US voted against annual UN Resolution 242 (originally passed in 1967), condemning Israeli presence in the Golan. Despite US support the world body overwhelming condemned Israel and no one else, in 9 separate resolutions. source

March 21, 2019, President Donald Trump tweeted that it was “time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.” The move was welcomed by Israel.

May 30, 2019, President Donald Trump signs “nice” on a map showing Golan as part of Israel.

One president condemned Israel and one president blessed Israel Genesis 12:3.
