A good wife is a gift and reward from the Lord.

House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers,
But a prudent wife is from the LORD. —Proverbs 19:14

Enjoy life with the woman whom you love all the days of your fleeting life which He has given to you under the sun; for this is your reward in life and in your toil in which you have labored under the sun. —Ecclesiastes 9:9

Thus, it’s nice for men to have the chance to show how much they are thankful. A simple “I love you” does wonders.

Husbands are given special instructions regarding their wives. They are to:

Love them.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body. FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND SHALL BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH. This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband. —Ephesians 5:25-33

Comfort them.
Then Elkanah her husband said to her, “Hannah, why do you weep and why do you not eat and why is your heart sad? Am I not better to you than ten sons? —1 Samuel 1:8

Please them.
but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife —1 Corinthians 7:33

Praise them.
Her children rise up and bless her;
Her husband also, and he praises her, . . . —Proverbs 31:28
Respect them.
The heart of her husband trusts in her,
And he will have no lack of gain. —Proverbs 31:11

You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered. —1 Peter 3:7

Enjoy them.
Enjoy life with the woman whom you love all the days of your fleeting life which He has given to you under the sun; for this is your reward in life and in your toil in which you have labored under the sun. —Ecclesiastes 9:9

Remain faithful to them.
You shall not commit adultery. —Exodus 20:14
Drink water from your own cistern
And fresh water from your own well.
Should your springs be dispersed abroad,
Streams of water in the streets?
Let them be yours alone
And not for strangers with you.
Let your fountain be blessed,
And rejoice in the wife of your youth.
As a loving hind and a graceful doe,
Let her breasts satisfy you at all times;
Be exhilarated always with her love. —Proverbs 5:15-19

And be intimate with them.
The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. —1 Corinthians 7:3-5
