Zero Hedge: The entire world reacted to the Senator’s death last weekend, with most of the Alt-Media Community wildly celebrating it while the Mainstream Media mourned the loss of what they described as an “American hero”.
Both sides shared a common ground in believing that his death represented something very significant, whether in a positive or negative way, but the reality is that it doesn’t change anything at all.
The world isn’t any more or less safe now that he died because the same network that he represented is still in place even if the messenger changes, which is exactly what will happen once Soros and other similar icons eventually pass away too. more …
Opinion: BPT News rule of thumb: When deciding which side to take on contentious political issues, be sure to evaluate who is for and who is against.
In separate eulogies, Obama and Bush delivered push-back to Trump that was more subtle than Meghan McCain’s, but unmistakable nonetheless, as the mainstream press mourned.
Obama spoke of the long talks he and McCain had almost weekly in the Oval Office and the senator’s understanding that America’s security and influence came not from “our ability to bend others to our will” but universal values of rule of law and human rights.
“So much of our politics, our public life, our public discourse can seem small and mean and petty, trafficking in bombast and insult and phony controversies and manufactured outrage,” Obama said in a not-so-veiled nod to Trump. “It’s a politics that pretends to be brave and tough but in fact is born in fear. John called on us to be bigger than that. He called on us to be better than that.”
The funeral was a globalist elite/anti-Trump love fest: Among those in the front row at the cathedral were Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, Bill and Hillary Clinton, as well as Dick Cheney and Al Gore.
But it was John McCain’s evolving globalist views that have been front and center since his failed 2008 run for the presidency, evidenced by his snub to nationalist firebrand running mate Sarah Palin, who was not invited to the funeral.
More recently McCain’s globalism was right before our eyes, calling Trump’s policies “half-baked, spurious nationalism” followed by his new world order comments in 2017 that branded him part of the swamp:
Completely ignored by the globalists in attendance are the almost inconceivable accomplishments of Donald Trump in less than two years despite John McCain’s key vote against the repeal of Obamacare.
With the rollback of Obama’s business regulations/taxes, the US economy is on fire, ISIS has been diminished, and Jerusalem has been declared the eternal capital of Israel by the world’s lone superpower, a feat that neither George Bush nor Barack Obama had the courage to do.
