Bridgewater Associates’ Ray Dalio stood by his belief that cash is not the place to be despite the volatility in the markets triggered by the new omicron Covid variant.

“… And he who earns wages,

“Cash is not a safe investment, is not a safe place because it will be taxed by inflation,” the founder of the world’s biggest hedge fund said Tuesday on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”

During turbulent times, it’s also important to be in a safe, well-balanced portfolio, the billionaire investor said.

“You can reduce your risk without reducing your returns. You will not market-time this. Even if you were a great market timer, the things that are happening can change the world, so it changes what could be priced into the market,” Dalio said.

Erdan accuses UN of ‘erasing Jewish history’

Israel’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, criticized the body on Monday for commemorating the voting anniversary of the 1947 partition plan with an event held in solidarity with the Palestinians.

The plan, known as Resolution 181, called to partition the area of British Mandatory Palestine into two states – one Jewish and one Arab.

In 1947, the UN General Assembly approved the resolution, which was accepted by the mandate’s Jewish population, but rejected by the Arabs.

“Israel accepted this partition plan… the Palestinians and the Arab countries rejected it and tried to destroy us,” Erdan said in a video message marking the occasion on his Twitter page.

“They also persecuted, massacred, and ultimately expelled the Jewish communities in their own countries. Shockingly, this atrocity is completely… ignored by the UN.”

Erdan is partnering with the World Jewish Congress for a campaign to promote the stories of these refugees, with trucks broadcasting messages around New York reading “Don’t erase Jewish history.”

The official denounced the international body for holding a solidarity event “on the anniversary of the Palestinians’ own decision to choose violence.”

“The UN is erasing Jewish history, and distorting the truth,” he argued.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed President Joe Biden during a Senate hearing on Tuesday over the administration’s decision to remove a Marxist terrorist group from the U.S.’s official list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

Stock futures jump ahead of first trading day of December after omicron fears dent markets

U.S. stock futures were higher in early trading Wednesday, following a Tuesday sell-off on Wall Street over fears about the new omicron Covid variant and the Federal Reserve mulling a quicker-than-planned exit from its easy monetary policy.

Dow futures rose 282 points. S&P 500 futures gained 1.03% and Nasdaq 100 futures rose 1.25%.

Treasury yields also moved notably higher, with the benchmark 10-year Treasury note most recently back near 1.5% after falling 8 basis points Tuesday to 1.45% on fears that the pandemic would stifle economic growth.

Merck led gainers on the S&P 500, rising 4

Merck led gainers on the S&P 500, rising 4% a day after its Covid treatment pill received approval from the Food and Drug Administration, though by a narrow 13-10 margin.

Energy shares also posted sharp gains, with Occidental Petroleum up 3.4% as West Texas Intermediate prices climbed more than 4% to nearly $69 a barrell.

Lifting sanctions on Iran could lead to military action by Israel, officials in Jerusalem warned world powers, as negotiations to curb the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program continued on Tuesday.

If the US lifts sanctions – along with international sanctions soon to be lifted under the terms of the 2015 nuclear deal – Iran could reach the nuclear threshold within six months, Israel has warned.

At that point, Israel could find it necessary to take unilateral action.

Foreign Minister Yair Lapid called for the world to ramp up the threat to Iran in order to deter it from developing a nuclear weapon.

In a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, Lapid emphasized that Israel views the talks as an attempt by Tehran to stall as it advances its nuclear program, and the world must have a plan B.

Conservatives outraged over old tweet from new Twitter CEO quoting ‘The Daily Show’

It wouldn’t be Twitter if there wasn’t a new controversy about some decade-old tweets.

Just hours after Twitter founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey announced his resignation from the company, there’s already new drama surrounding its new CEO, Parag Agrawal, and an old post he made on the platform.

“If they are not gonna make a distinction between muslims and extremists, then why should I distinguish between white people and racists,” tweeted Agrawal in quotes on Oct. 26, 2010. 

That’s right. October 2010. This 11-year-old tweet is currently making the rounds in right-wing Twitter circles. Conservative users on the platform are expressing outrage over the tweet.

The quote Agrawal tweeted comes at the tail end of the segment, during a panel with former host Jon Stewart and comedians Larry Whilmore and Aasif Mandvi.

“If they’re not going to make a distinction between Muslims and violent extremists then why should I take the time to distinguish between decent, fearful white people and racists?” jokes Mandvi, eliciting laughter from the audience.

In addition, in a follow-up tweet on Twitter that same night, Agrawal replied to another user to explain that The Daily Show is exactly what he was quoting.

Pope Francis invoked God in an effort to pressure Silicon Valley giants into censoring more content, including “hate speech” and “conspiracy theories.”

Yes, really.

The Pope made the remarks during a World Meeting of Popular Movements, a shadowy organization created to promote “social justice” and fight racism with the help of religious leaders.

“In the name of God, I ask the technology giants to stop exploiting human weakness, people’s vulnerability, for the sake of profits without caring about the spread of hate speech, grooming, fake news, conspiracy theories, and political manipulation,” he stated.

Pope Francis also invoked the term “post-truth,” which was invented by establishment media organs after they began to lose their monopoly on controlling the narrative following the election of Donald Trump.

“Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.” Revelation 13:11

The Catholic leader apparently believes it’s Christian and Godly to empower giant corporations to shut down free speech.

This is no surprise given his previous stance on free speech in response to the slaughter of the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists, when he rhetorically sided with the terrorists who murdered them in cold blood.

Like Antiochus, the Biden administration has spent the past few months alternately terrorizing and bribing Israelis to accept its plans for a consulate to the terrorists killing Jews in Jerusalem.

Biden is clearly on the same page.

Russia and China operate diplomatic missions to the PLO in Ramallah. If the Biden administration really wanted to open a consulate to be closer to the terrorists, they would stick it in that terrorist capital: a former Christian city taken over by Islamic killers as their base in Israel.

Instead like the old dead Syrian-Greek tyrant, Biden wants to plant his idol in Jerusalem.

Markets Freak Out Again After Moderna CEO Repeats That Vaccine Won’t Work For Omicron

After spending yesterday doing interviews with practically every major American news organization, Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel on Tuesday tanked shares in his own company after telling Britain’s premier financial newspaper that he expects vaccines will “struggle” to stop the omicron variant.

Existing jabs will be less effective at tackling omicron than earlier strains of COVID, and it may take months before pharmaceutical companies can manufacture new variant-specific jabs at scale, Bancel warned in an interview with the FT.

Corporate Giants Going All-In On Metaverse

Assessment: The metaverse is a relatively new term to describe a futuristic internet with virtual experiences where people can customize avatars—digital images representing themselves—to play games, make virtual purchases and interact and attend events such as concerts and comedy shows. 

From Verizon to Nike, corporate giants are embracing the Metaverse as a place to hock their wares. The idea of separating people from reality makes it much easier to manipulate them into making purchases that they otherwise might not have made. The Metaverse is the height of social isolation and data mining, both of which contribute to Mass Formation.  TN Editor

Brands had been toying with the metaverse for some time before Facebook’s recent name change turned the term into a household word. Now some of them are getting serious.

Companies including Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc., Verizon Communications Inc. and streetwear brand Vans earlier this year built their own digital worlds on metaverse-like platforms such as Roblox Corp. and Fortnite Creative in an attempt to improve brand recognition and get existing customers more engaged.

Their efforts are a sign that advertisers, which have long been hesitant to spend marketing dollars on experimental efforts, are warming to new digital platforms. Facebook’s late October announcement that it would develop a metaverse environment, including investing $10 billion on the effort this year and changing its name to Meta Platforms Inc., is expected to accelerate that trend.
