Another Afghanistan grows in Wisconsin

Sparta, a small town of less than ten thousand souls, whose claim to fame is being the “Bicycling Capital of America”, could only watch as a population of Afghans outnumbering its own population created a new Afghanistan on the premises of Fort McCoy.

None of the Afghans at Fort McCoy have a Special Immigrant Visa. Biden left the SIV visa holders behind in Afghanistan. The Afghans who have overrun the Wisconsin base are the ones whom the Taliban, for their own reasons, decided to allow through their checkpoints.

And they’re living up to the high cultural standards of the Taliban.

The problems began with the toilets. Then there were issues with the rice, the sexual abuse of young boys, and Afghans simply leaving on their own despite promises of taxpayer cash.

“Afghans were confused and upset by hygiene practices,” a Wall Street Journal article described. “Every toilet on base was Western style, with a seat and toilet paper. But a number of Afghans are accustomed to restrooms that allow them to squat so they don’t have to physically touch the toilet. It led to some cases of Afghans relieving themselves outside.”

Travel stocks rally, stay-at-home companies plunge as pandemic wanes and tourism rebounds

As travel industry executives tout the rapid resurgence of tourism and entertainment, the pandemic stock portfolio is getting turned upside down.

Airlines stocks are rallying alongside online booking sites, ride-hailing companies and Airbnb, after earnings reports showed clear signs of a recovery in travel. At the same time, stay-at-home stocks are sagging as borders reopen and health experts indicate that an end to the Covid-19 pandemic could come sooner than expected.

“We’ve seen it everywhere,” Expedia CEO Peter Kern told analysts on an earnings call Thursday after his company reported a 97% jump in revenue from a year earlier. “Cities are picking up. International has picked up. Virtually every area has seen growth.”

Expedia shares soared 16% on Friday and rival Booking Holdings jumped over 7%. Airbnb surged 13% and closed out its best week since its IPO late last year, after the home-sharing company reported better-than-expected revenue and a 280% increase in profit.

The consulate for Palestinians in Jerusalem: A danger for Israel

Assessment: The US desire to open a consulate for Palestinians in Jerusalem challenges the determination that the city is the capital of Israel …

Joe Biden’s administration continues its efforts to appease the Palestinians and seeks to establish a consulate for them in Jerusalem.

Jay Shapiro notes that the previous administration decided that Jerusalem was the capital of Israel and therefore also moved the United States Embassy from Tel Aviv to this city.

Operating a separate consulate for the Palestinians in Jerusalem is a challenge to Israeli sovereignty in its capital and an attempt to divide it, says Shapiro.

He further notes that even in terms of US law, the Biden administration has a problem making such a move and Congress and the Senate must vehemently oppose that move.

DeSantis Slams Biden After Illegal Alien Posing As Minor Allegedly Murders Dad Of 4: This Is Your Fault

Daily Wire: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) slammed Democrat President Joe Biden on Thursday over reports that an illegal alien, who posed as an unaccompanied minor to get into the U.S., murdered a father-of-four in Florida.

Yery Noel Medina Ulloa, who recently turned 24, “was busted Oct. 7 in Jacksonville when he was found covered in blood after allegedly killing Francisco Javier Cuellar, 46, a father of four who had taken in the immigrant who told authorities he was 17,” The New York Post reported. “Ulloa, who turned 24 on Friday, had duped border authorities in Texas several months earlier by claiming he was a teenager named Reynel Alexander Hernandez — and even told his mom about the ruse.”

DeSantis’ office released the following statement about the incident:

This horrific crime is the latest example of how unfettered illegal migration costs Floridians’ lives. If not for the Biden Administration’s unlawful “catch and release” policy, Francisco Cuellar would still be alive today.

As Governor DeSantis announced in September, the State of Florida is suing the Biden Administration in federal court to put an end to “catch and release” endangering our communities. The free-for-all at the southwestern border puts all Americans at risk, as the Biden Administration and their NGO partners transport illegal migrants around the country with inadequate vetting and zero transparency.

Governor DeSantis is committed to doing everything in his power to keep Floridians safe. But as long as the Biden Administration persists in refusing to enforce our country’s immigration laws, Americans are at needless risk. How many more lives will be lost before the Biden Administration decides to uphold the law?

Naftali Bennett’s October summit with Vladimir Putin ran overtime. Its unscheduled five-hour duration meant that the prime minister could not return to Israel before Shabbat, and was stuck in Sochi until Saturday night. Yet Bennett’s time with the Russian president at the Black Sea resort was well spent, among the more consequential meetings the prime minister has had since assuming office in June.

At the most fundamental level, Bennett needed to maintain Israel’s freedom of action in Syria. Since the outbreak of the civil war a decade ago, and the ensuing growth of Iran’s presence, the IDF has repeatedly targeted Iranian positions and those of its proxy Hezbollah. Tehran’s pretext for involvement was to bolster its ally Bashar Assad, but its goals were much larger; to expand its sphere of influence, and ultimately to transform Ba’athist Syria into an Iranian satellite, a forward position from which to threaten the “Zionist regime.”

Israel decided not to merely observe the growing Iranian buildup, but to adopt a policy of active preemption. The logic of the Israeli strategy mirrored that of the United States in the much-studied 1962 Cuban missile crisis, when President John Kennedy declared that the mere positioning of Soviet missiles in the Western Hemisphere was an unacceptable provocation, irrespective of a decision on their actual use.

Kroger to Accept Bitcoin Cash This Holiday Season

America’s largest grocery retailer, announced today that it will begin accepting Bitcoin Cash. Starting December 1, 2021, the entire Kroger Family of Stores will accept Bitcoin Cash for all in-store and online purchases.

“At Kroger, we’re dedicated to providing our customers with the best shopping experience possible. Throughout the pandemic, cashless payments have been thriving, and we see cryptocurrency as a natural progression of the trend to deal less with physical money,” said Rodney McMullen, Kroger’s chairman and CEO. “Integrating Bitcoin Cash into our payment platforms lets us do just that—now and in the years to come.”

Bitcoin Cash is a cryptocurrency created by a fork of the original bitcoin blockchain. During the separation, Bitcoin Cash introduced features such as bigger blocks that set it apart. In practice, this has led to Bitcoin Cash transactions being significantly cheaper than Bitcoin transactions, with costs often remaining under one penny even for considerable amounts.

The development of Bitcoin Cash is driven, among others, by Bitcoin.com, a company providing various products to use cryptocurrencies more readily in daily life.

According to the Bitcoin.com Map, thousands of stores worldwide already accept Bitcoin Cash and other cryptocurrencies; and Kroger could add hundreds within months. For customers, the check-out experience will just change slightly.

Instead of using their card or cash, they will be able to scan a QR code provided by the merchant that’ll automatically charge them the amount at the current exchange rate in Bitcoin Cash.

 

Senate confirms radical lesbian judge appointed by Biden to top federal court

The Senate this week confirmed a far-left, openly lesbian judge appointed by Joe Biden to a top federal court, despite her past involvement in a lawsuit targeting a Catholic family over their pro-life beliefs.

The Senate approved the confirmation of Beth Robinsogn, a Vermont Supreme Court justice, to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in a 51-45 vote on Monday.

Two Republicans, Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, voted in favor of Robinson’s confirmation. Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina had joined Murkowski and Collins to advance the lesbian judge’s nomination earlier this year but voted against confirming her on Monday.

Robinson is Biden’s third nominee to the Second Circuit Court approved by the Senate in under six months. Her confirmation flipped the court to a 7-6 Democrat-appointed majority.

Liberal, Soros-backed activist groups hailed the confirmation of Robinson, the first lesbian judge on a federal district court, and Democrats’ rapid installation of Biden’s judicial nominees.

“President Biden’s laser-like focus on quickly nominating highly qualified, professionally diverse judges is paying off at the all-important courts of appeal level,” said Chris Kang, chief counsel for Demand Justice.

Robinson is known for her LGBT activism that helped spearhead legalization of same-sex “marriage” in Vermont. In 1999, she represented a group of homosexuals in a major case, Baker v. Vermont, that resulted in Vermont’s civil union law in 2000.

Palestinians gear up to renew international fight against Israel

After a few months of quiet, the Palestinians are preparing to renew their international campaign against Israel, Israel Hayom reported Friday.

Now that the Palestinians have joined the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, they can be expected to reach out to international organizations and demand that they condemn Israel, or even seek to have Israel suspended from international organizations and institutions.

“Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you were coming out of Egypt, how he met you on the way and attacked your rear ranks, all the stragglers at your rear, when you were tired and weary; and he did not fear God.” Deut.25:17-18

The Palestinians’ claim is a familiar one – they are alleging that Israel is an occupying entity in land belonging to the Palestinian Authority and is acting in violation of international law. They claim that Israel confiscates privately owned Palestinian land to expand settlements; restricts freedom of movement for the Palestinian population in Judea and Samaria; prevents access to potable water and water for agricultural purposes; does not allow Palestinians to work farmland that they own; and regularly violates Palestinians’ civil rights.

Gore Touts Technology Tracking ‘Identities’ of Greenhouse Gas Emitters — ‘We Can Take Action’

Former Vice President Al Gore on Thursday sounded off on the technology created by the Climate TRACE coalition to monitor greenhouse gas emissions.

Gore,  a long-time climate change activist, told MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that the technology would be able to track the “identities” of those “responsible” for emitting greenhouse gases. He advised that the government or “civil society activists” would then be able to hold them accountable.

“And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?” Matthew 16:3

We get data consistently from 300 existing satellites, more than 11,000 ground-based, air-based, sea-based sensors, multiple internet data streams and using artificial intelligence,” Gore outlined. “All that information is combined, visible light, infrared, all of the other information that is brought in, and we can now accurately determine where the greenhouse gas emissions are coming from.”

“And next year we’ll have it down to the level of every single power plant, refinery, every large ship, every plane, every waste dump, and we’ll have the identities of the people who are responsible for each of those greenhouse gas emission streams, and if investors or governments, or civil society activists want to hold them responsible, they will have the information upon which to base their action and holding them responsible,” he added.
