Assessment: Professor Wieslaw Maslowski from the Department of Oceanography of the US Navy predicted an ice-free Arctic Ocean by the summer of 2013 …
The “Arctic is screaming,” a U.S. government warming-alarmist scientist famously stated in 2010. It turns out this may be true, but what it’s saying is, “I’m freezing!”
In fact, in yet another refutation of the man-caused global-warming (AGW) narrative — and contrary to alarmist predictions — Arctic ice is poised to be its thickest in a generation.
“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22
It was in 1975 that Newsweek, reflecting contemporary reportage, ran the story “The Cooling World.” As a young child at the time, I remember the coming-ice-age warnings and, frankly, they were scary. Sure, I loved sledding and snowball fights, but the prospect of living on Snowball Earth wasn’t too appealing.
But sometime later the climate diviners transitioned to doomsayer predictions about global warming. As Electroverse wrote in May:
“Scientists in the US have presented one of the most dramatic forecasts yet for the disappearance of Arctic sea ice,” reported the BBC back in 2007. “Their latest modelling indicates that northern polar waters could be ice-free in summers within just 5-6 years.”
Professor Wieslaw Maslowski from the Department of Oceanography of the US Navy predicted an ice-free Arctic Ocean by the summer of 2013.
Maslowski added that his prediction was on the conservative side, too: “Our projection of 2013 for the removal of ice in summer is not accounting for the last two minima, in 2005 and 2007. So given that fact, you can argue that may be our projection of 2013 is already too conservative.”

Assessment: “[Iran’s nuclear] progress is so significant that it’s essentially impossible to turn back the clock in its nuclear program to the point it was two or three years ago …
Several Western diplomats on Sunday said Iran was now between four to six weeks away from the “breakout time” it needs to amass enough fissile material for a single nuclear weapon, although they cautioned it was still about two years from being able to weaponize it.
The warning came as world powers and Iran expect to return to Vienna on Monday for a last-ditch effort to salvage a 2015 nuclear deal, but few expect a breakthrough as Tehran’s atomic activities rumble on in an apparent bid to gain leverage against the West.
Diplomats say time is running low to resurrect the original deal with world powers – the US, Great Britain, China, France, Germany and Russia.
Israel is worried Iran will secure a windfall in sanctions relief but will not sufficiently roll back projects with bomb-making potential.
“Israel is very worried about the readiness to remove the sanctions and to allow a flow of billions [of dollars] to Iran in exchange for unsatisfactory restrictions in the nuclear realm,” Prime Minister Naftali Bennett told his cabinet in televised remarks on Sunday.

“This is the message that we are relaying in every manner, whether to the Americans or to the other countries negotiating with Iran,” he said.
Assessment: Take a wild guess who will actually pay the increased fees charged to oil companies …
The Biden-Harris administration issued a report Friday to increase the price of oil leasing fees on federal lands in the United States by 50 percent—even while accusing oil companies of artificially increasing prices through illegal and anticompetitive actions.
Despite record-high gasoline prices impacting American families across the country with winter around the corner, the Biden-Harris administration is recommending Congress hike the cost of oil leases on government lands from 12.50 percent to 18.75 percent.
The 6.25 percentage point royalty rate increase on oil companies would contradict the administration’s promise to lower gasoline prices. In recent weeks, the Biden-Harris administration has asked OPEC to increase oil supplies and requested the Federal Trade Commission conduct an investigation into oil companies for “anticompetitive behavior.”
The rate increase, according to the New York Times, would generate about an extra “$2.5 billion in new revenue by the end of the decade,” which oil companies would pay to the federal government, though consumers would absorb the increased cost the companies incur. So far, the Biden-Harris administration has collected $1.6 billion more from oil leases in 2021 than in 2020.
An increased royalty rate would be the first rate hike since 1920 and would fulfill President Biden’s campaign promise to global warming activists and the far-left.

Assessment: For Joe, it’s all about being part of the ‘in’ crowd, never mind that his administration seems to be of multiple minds on the matter and that historically, pandemic variants tend to be weaker than whatever came before them …
Much has been made of the news that Joe Biden has shut the door to eight countries over the new ‘omicron’ COVID variant. AT deputy editor Andrea Widburg has an excellent piece today on that here.
Some of the implications, of course, are vaguely comical. Biden’s White House medical advisor, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the so-called “expert” and voice of “science” he touted was last seen recommending against the closure of air travel.
Joe, of course, did it anyway, signaling that Fauci’s expertise to him is all about what’s politically useful and, apparently, this wasn’t.
“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” Proverbs 29:2
After all, country after country was shutting its air travel from countries where that variant is present. According to Axios:
Countries across Europe and Asia are rushing through new travel restrictions in response to a new COVID variant identified by scientists in South Africa.
The big picture: Israel, Japan, the U.K., France, Germany, Italy and Singapore are moving to restrict entry from countries in the south of Africa, AP reports. Many are also adding quarantines for their own citizens upon return from the region.
For Joe, it’s all about being part of the ‘in’ crowd, never mind that his administration seems to be of multiple minds on the matter and that historically, pandemic variants tend to be weaker than whatever came before them.
Fauci’s calls to not shut the air traffic got left by the wayside.
Joe, meanwhile, left himself looking like a fool.

He hasn’t said a thing about the wide-open border.
In fact, he’s still leaving the border open to all comers.

Assessment: For context, Ibram X. Kendi has promulgated a lie that white people are irredeemably racist. Apparently, the Salvation Army now agrees …
The Salvation Army, a Christian church with a charity which famously asks for money through red collection boxes around Christmas time, is now asking white people to do something more — to confess their racism. Please.
In a guidebook titled “Let’s Talk About Racism,” the Salvation Army has called upon Christians to reflect on and rectify the contributions they have made to social inequalities and prejudicial systems that have harmed minorities, as first noted by National Review.
“And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings” Acts 17:26
The organization says that it “acknowledges with regret, that Salvationists have sometimes shared in the sins of racism and conformed to economic, organisational and social pressures that perpetuate racism.”
Through its Study Guide on Racism, the Salvation Army reveals that it believes in bigoted dirtbag Ibram X. Kendi’s idea that white people are responsible for “unconscious bias.” From now on, the organization says it hopes white donors will recognize their own contributions to racism and adopt, as Kendi puts it, “a posture of … anti-racism.”

Assessment: As Gilad Erdan readies to focus solely on his role as Israeli ambassador to the UN, he tells Israel Hayom that the Biden administration “accepts Israel’s position that the original nuclear deal was not good, and his hope that Israel will be included in the US Visa Waiver Program by 2023.
Q: Will the visa waiver come at a cost, perhaps Israel agreeing to a consulate in Jerusalem for the Palestinians?
“I am not aware of any price Israel has been required to pay and I don’t believe one exists. Look, this is also an American interest from the perspective of both tourism and business. Israel is the United States’ closest ally in the Middle East, and one of its closest allies in the world. We cooperate on intelligence and other issues; the administration, including Democratic members of Congress, are very pleased with that cooperation.
“In the near future, Iron Dome may protect American soldiers in Iraq and other places. Countries that are not as close to the United States are included in the Visa Waiver Program. Israel should have been a part of it a long time ago.”
Q: Has the administration been persuaded to give up the idea of a consulate for the Palestinians in Jerusalem?
“My impression is that the administration has yet to give up on this idea. The issue was raised in almost every meeting I had with representatives of the administration. They repeatedly explained that the president committed to going ahead with this. We explain the difficulties it will create for us. First and foremost, that sovereignty in Jerusalem is one of our most basic values. Various propositions were made to solve the dispute, but at the moment a resolution has yet to be reached. Even within the family there can be disputes, but that doesn’t mean they have to cast a shadow over our relations.”
Q: You have been involved for almost a year in the dialogue between Israel and the US on the Iranian issue. Do the Americans not understand that Iran is playing them and racing toward the bomb?
“The Israeli perception is that Iran is continuing to progress with its nuclear program and wishes to be a nuclear threshold state, while waiting for a convenient opportunity to break out. I think there is disagreement between Israel and the US and others in the West over this analysis. This difference of opinion touches on the question of what is the most efficient way to stop Iran, and that is a point on which there is a deep dispute.
“We believe that only if Iran sees a credible and significant military threat is there a chance that threat won’t have to carried out, and then, perhaps, a stronger and broader agreement with a longer scope can be reached. On the other hand, the Americans believe that the first step should be to bring the international community on board and that this should be done through a return to the old agreement, a step that we see as a mistake.
“Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering ”…” Daniel 9:27
Q: Did Israel make a commitment to work in full cooperation with the United States, or not to operate unilaterally, when it comes to Iran?
“For many years, it has been common practice whenever there been an operation that concerns regions in which the United States has an interest, for Israel to try and notify them in advance. From what I was exposed to in my time as ambassador, I am not aware of any condition that requires Israel to restrict itself.”

Assessment: Biden/Harris just banned all travel from several African countries over the new COVID variant…
President Joe Biden on Friday was slammed for enacting travel restrictions on eight countries due to a fresh coronavirus variant after calling former President Trump’s coronavirus travel restrictions in 2020 racist and xenophobic.
Trump issued travel restrictions on countries around the globe after the Chinese Coronavirus pandemic landed in the United States in 2020. Biden was quick to label those protectionist measures racist and xenophobic, like this tweet from February 1, 2020, following a travel-ban announcement:

We are in the midst of a crisis with the coronavirus. We need to lead the way with science — not Donald Trump’s record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering. He is the worst possible person to lead our country through a global health emergency.

But he who heeds counsel is wise.” Proverbs 12:15

Assessment: Named Omicron, Health experts say no cases have been detected in the United States as vaccine makers begin testing …
U.S. stocks dropped sharply on Friday as a new Covid variant found in South Africa triggered a global shift away from risk assets.
“When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a pale horse …” Rev. 6:7-8
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 905.04 points, or 2.53%, for its worst day of the year, closing at 34,899.34. The S&P 500 lost 2.27% to close at 4,594.62, while the Nasdaq Composite slipped 2.23% to finish at 15,491.66. The Dow was down more than 1,000 points at session lows.
The downward moves came after World Health Organization officials on Thursday warned of a new Covid-19 variant that’s been detected in South Africa. The new variant contains more mutations to the spike protein, the component of the virus that binds to cells, than the highly contagious delta variant. Because of these mutations, scientists fear it could have increased resistance to vaccines, though WHO said further investigation is needed. On Friday, the WHO deemed the new strain a variant of concern and named it omicron.
