Watch: Hamas official congratulates Taliban on ‘victory against America’

Arutz Sheva: Deputy Chairman of Hamas said he saw no reason why other nations would not want diplomatic ties with the Taliban.

A government with 2 heads: Bennett and Gantz lead coordinated, opposing policies

Times of Israel: a As of now, Israel’s 36th government seems to be divided into two distinct camps with contradictory approaches to the peace process with the Palestinians. Each is advancing its own agenda, but both appear to be okay and even comfortable with the situation.

The right-wing camp is led by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett; the left-wing one by Defense Minister Benny Gantz. Nevertheless, the two leaders have a good relationship, despite the occasional tensions.

“And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand” KJV

This double-headed approach was visible on two recent occasions. For instance, when the government okayed thousands of new settlement homes in the West Bank alongside mass permits for Palestinian construction, Bennett said his government’s policy was to strengthen the settlements since it was “more right-wing” than the previous one led by Benjamin Netanyahu. ‘This Is Ransom’: White House Mulling Direct Foreign Aid To The Taliban

Zero Hedge: Is this what America’s “extraordinary success” in Afghanistan looks like? (In the words of President Biden on Tuesday).

White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has offered blunt confirmation in a Wednesday “Good Morning America” interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that the United States won’t rule out giving aid directly to the Taliban regime in Kabul.

There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12

A somewhat incredulous looking Stephanopoulos questioned, “We’re gonna work with the Taliban… does that include the prospect of giving them aid?”

Sullivan without missing a beat responded of the group which was long widely condemned as a terror organization after 9/1p1:

“Well first of all we do believe that there is an important dimension of humanitarian assistance that should go directly to the people of Afghanistan…”

“We do intend to continue that.”

Sullivan then actually used the unsettling phrase “our economic and development assistance relationship” with the Taliban.

Pictures, Video Show Taliban Flying U.S. Black Hawk Over Kandahar With Body Hanging Below

New American: Since the Biden administration’s slapdash withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Taliban — which had promised to behave themselves — have made use of the $85 billion in U.S. military equipment left behind. Reports from Monday show Taliban forces flying U.S. Black Hawk attack helicopters over Kandahar with “traitors” hanging by the neck beneath the U.S. aircraft.

That the Taliban broke their promise of peaceful rule is surprising to no one who has any historical understanding of the tyrannical, terrorist, militantly Islamic group. It was perfectly predictable: The past is the best indicator of the future, and the Taliban have always ruled by terror. The difference this time, though, is that the Taliban have first-world military equipment, courtesy of the Biden administration.

The Taliban are putting that equipment to good (read: bad) use, patrolling Afghanistan and keeping Afghans in check.

By using that equipment to terrorize the people of Afghanistan, the Taliban — which were kept at bay for 20 years only by the military might of the United States — are mocking the United States. But pictures and video from Kandahar shared on Twitter Monday show that this is far worse than mockery. The Taliban are using Black Hawk helicopters as platforms for public hangings of “traitors” that assisted the United States over the past 20 years of the Taliban’s exile from power.

Gold Star Mother Locked Out of Facebook Account After Sharing Her Story on Meeting President Biden

Becker News: The grieving mother of a fallen Marine, Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikou, met with President Joe Biden on Sunday at the dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base.

The mother, Shana Chappell, took to social media to share her agonizing story of meeting the president, which didn’t sit well with the Facebook and Instagram censors. She was locked out of her social media accounts for what she had to say about the president.

“President Joe Biden, This [message] is for you!” Chappell wrote. “I know my face is etched into your brain! I was able to look you straight in the eyes yesterday and have words with you. After I lay my son to rest you will be seeing me again!”

“Remember I am the one who stood 5 inches from your face and was letting you know I would never get to hug my son again, hear his laugh and then you tried to interrupt met and give me your own sob story and I had to tell you ‘that this isn’t about you so don’t make it about you!!!!’” she wrote. Central Banks Can’t Taper in this Slowdown

Misses Institute: Recent macroeconomic data from the United States should worry us. Amid the reopening and the biggest fiscal and monetary stimulus in recent history, and with all the possible tailwinds from policy decisions, consumer confidence has plummeted to the lowest level since 2016.

Third Seal: Scarcity on Earth

When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.’ Rev. 6:5

Retail sales have fallen sharply again in July, and the employment or industrial production data are far more than disappointing considering the level of stimulus and that GDP has returned to prepandemic level.

The use of industrial capacity, at 76 percent, is 4 percent below the average for the 1972–2020 period, and the labor participation rate, at 61.6 percent, has been stagnant for ten months and at 1980 levels.

The total savings rate as a percentage of disposable income has almost vanished from 33.8 percent to 9.4 percent.

Let’s put it in the context of a reopening that has been in place for more than a year, a fiscal stimulus equivalent to three trillion dollars, and a monetary stimulus of 1.7 trillion dollars in 2021.

The United States would go into a severe recession if it were not “doping ” the economy. Read More

Afghanistan: UK ‘Ready’ To Launch Strikes Against IS Fighters, RAF Chief Says

Forces.net: The head of the Royal Air Force has indicated British forces are prepared to launch air strikes against so-called Islamic State (IS) militants in Afghanistan.

It comes as American forces completed their withdrawal from Afghanistan on Monday – bringing to an end the deployment which began in the wake of the 9/11 attacks two decades ago.

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Eph 5:11

The Taliban has proclaimed “full independence” for Afghanistan after the US withdrawal.

RAF chief, Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston, indicated that the force could strike ISIS-K targets in Afghanistan.

He told the Daily Telegraph: “Ultimately, what this boils down to is that we’ve got to be able to play a global role in the global coalition to defeat Daesh, whether it’s strike, or whether it’s moving troops or equipment into a particular country, at scale and at speed.

“If there’s an opportunity for us to contribute I am in no doubt that we will be ready Read More

Is Biden Fudging the Numbers on Americans Left Behind in Afghanistan?

PJ Media: According to the Biden administration, no more than a couple hundred American citizens remain in Afghanistan. President Biden said in his speech on Tuesday that most are dual citizens with family ties to the country and many don’t want to leave.

But, according to a U.S. official who spoke with the Daily Caller last week, there are likely a lot more still in the country. He said at the time there were an estimated 8,000 Americans in the country and it was doubtful we’d get to bring them all home.

“The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy” Proverbs 12:22

According to one estimate, roughly 350 Americans were being evacuated daily alongside thousands of Afghans—meaning that if the U.S. official’s estimate that there were 8,000 Americans still in the country last week was correct, there’d be over 5,000 Americans left behind by the Biden administration—not a couple hundred.

What are we supposed to believe? Part of the problem is that we can’t really trust the numbers released publicly by the Biden administration—they’re vague and don’t differentiate between Afghan refugees and American citizens.

According to Joe Biden on Monday, “The past 17 days have seen our troops execute the largest airlift in US history, evacuating over 120,000 US citizens, citizens of our allies, and Afghan allies of the United States,” though he did not clarify how many were U.S. citizens. Trust me, that’s by design.

According to the official who spoke with the Daily Caller, “it’s become a quiet rule among officials to avoid giving out a more precise number of U.S. citizens evacuated, in part because it’s ’embarrassingly low.’” Read More
