Yahoo Finance: Speaking at the launch of the Bank for International Settlements’ London location, Andrew Bailey expressed his optimism concerning central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).

Andrew Bailey, the Governor of the Bank of England (BoE) stated that he was pleased that central banks have begun to embrace the idea of CBDCs. “If this comes to pass, it will be one of the most fundamental innovations in the history of central banking,” he said. “It will move us into a new era.”

Britain’s central bank has not been shy about the fact it is researching its own digital currency. Eventually, the digital currency could replace cash and credit as forms of payment. While Britain has yet to make a decision on whether it will introduce a CBDC into the U.K., it is currently mulling over the pros and cons with stakeholders. Read More

Opinion: A lot of seasoned Wall Street pros treat digital currencies like tulip bulbs, a time in 1637 when prices for bulbs for the fashionable tulip reached extraordinarily high levels, and then dramatically collapsed. Jamie Dimon CEO of Morgan Stanley is an example. With no knowledge of Biblical prophecy, skepticism of cryptos would be logical.

“He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

Prior to Bitcoin in 2009, Revelation 13:16-17 was unimaginable. How could it happen? How could one man have such control over the global economy? Prior to Covid-19 and talk of digital passports, a mark on a person’s body pledging loyalty to that man was equally unimaginable.

The comment in Yahoo finance by Andrew Bailey, the Governor of the Bank of England (BoE) stating that he was pleased that central banks have begun to embrace the idea of CBDCs should be a wake up call to Bible prophecy students.

That Bailey was speaking to the Bank of International Settlements, the central bankers’ banker, should be an even louder wake up call.

But without knowledge of what God says will happen to the economies of the world, men will follow along blindly until the next big event on God’s calendar happens.

One day in the blink of an eye, a trumpet will sound (1 Cor. 15:51-52) and a voice saying “come up hither” (1 Thess. 4:16-17 KJV) that will only be heard by those who have accepted the pardon for sin that the death of Jesus Christ provides (in law, when a pardon is not accepted by a law breaker, the accused must be subject to the penalties of the law), and to the astonishment of a fallen world, millions will be gone to meet Christ in the air.

What comes next is described by Jesus in Matthew 24:21:

For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
