Opinion: While the US remains mired in vaccine mandates, critical race theory, cancel culture and transgenderism, anti-Semitism runs wild in the hallowed halls of the United States Congress and the once prestigious City University of New York (CUNY).

Imagine if these evil slurs were about a black man or Arab? The uproar would never cease. Yet the hatred is against Jews, and the world remains silent. A resurgence of 1930’s anti-Semitism is the clearest sign we have that the time of trouble for Jacob (Jeremiah 30:7), is very near.

“Alas! For that day is great,
So that none is like it;
And it is the time of Jacob’s trouble,
But he shall be saved out of it.”

The day refers to the Day of the Lord, or the 7 year tribulation period. In Matthew 24:21 Jesus warned the Jews of Judea about this time of trouble…

“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.”

Unbeknown to the world’s anti-Semites, God has a plan to deliver His people, the Jewish people, to salvation through Jesus Christ, and it is found throughout the Bible in both the the OT and NT.

Paul prophesied when the Jews would be delivered in Romans 11:25 …

“For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.”

The partial blindness (softening of the heart) will be lifted after the last Gentile is saved …

Luke 21:24

“They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.”

… after the church is taken up to the heavenlies (1 Thess 4:16-17), God turns His attention to saving the Jews …

Zechariah 12:10

“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.”

Who was it that was pierced? Jesus was pierced and He will appear to a remnant of the Jews in the mountains of Edom (Hab. 3:3; Isaiah 63:1-3), at the end of the tribulation.

Romans 11:26-27

“26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:

“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
27 For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.”

Wow.
