- The July 2 “Joint Declaration on the Future of the European Union” represents the first significant endeavor by euroskeptic parties to jointly oppose efforts by European federalists to transform the European Union into a godless multicultural superstate.
- The document states that the European Union requires “profound reform” because, “instead of protecting Europe,” it has itself become “a source of problems, anxiety and uncertainty.” The signatories say that the EU has become a tool of “radical forces” that are determined to carry out a civilizational transformation of Europe. Their objective, they say, is to create a European superstate void of European traditions, social institutions or moral principles.

Opinion: The super-state that the EU is trying to block was not only prophesied over 2500 years ago by Daniel, but was prophesied 500 years later by the apostle John in Revelation.
The Revived Roman Empire, or beast empire of Antichrist, is prophesied as the final kingdom found in Daniel chapter 2:41-43. Since Rome was never conquered, Daniel calls Rome and revived Rome (Rome II), the 4th beast.
And it is prophesied again by John in Revelation 13:1
“Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads (hills/Rome) and ten horns (kings), and on his horns ten crowns (authority), and on his heads a blasphemous name.”

Daniel 9:26 prophesies the Antichrist will originate from somewhere inside the boundaries of ancient Rome, and in the next verse, Daniel 9:27, we learn that his reign will last exactly 3.5 years:
“Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; (Hebrew 7 years)
But in the middle of the week (3.5 years)
He (Antichrist) shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering (3rd temple).
A European super-state will require a European super-president and both are prophesied to come in Daniel 8:23:
“And in the latter time of their kingdom,
When the transgressors have reached their fullness,
A king shall arise,
Having fierce features,
Who understands sinister schemes.”
In the same way, John described the beast empire in Rev. 13:4, as receiving its power from Satan, Daniel 8:24 tells of the destruction he will cause.
His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power;
He shall destroy fearfully,
And shall prosper and thrive;
He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.
Europe can try to stop the revival of Rome, but God’s prophecies will be fulfilled.
