Nostradamus, a 16th Century French astrologer, is credited with having accurately predicted various world events long before they ever occurred. He astonishingly foresaw pivotal events in world history that nobody could have ever seen coming, and even to this day, his visions are still coming true in real time.
Predicting everything from unfathomable natural disasters, to war, and even to monumental economic events, Nostradamus had plenty to say specifically about the year 2022. With much of the year already in the history books, his degree of prediction accuracy has again proven to be eerily high. Considering Nostradamus’ track record, you’ll want to brace yourself before reading about the world-jarring events he said are still left to come in 2022…
Stock Market Faltering
2022 has seen America go through one of the toughest points in its history, and the general angst surrounding the state of the country has been palpable. The stock market has dropped significantly, with the Dow Jones going down over 10% between November 2021 and May 2022.
While the economic downturn has happened seems sudden, the writing has been on the wall for a number of months that this was coming. The price of oil reaching peak levels and the devaluing of the dollar has led to the worst inflation in decades. But the market crashing may just be the start. Read More …
Opinion: Mention Nostradamus in a group of people and watch how the conversation seems to stop as people get curiouser and curiouser. Not so with Bible prophecy. Mostly I seem to get 5-second stares as people decide if they want to hear more, which usually does not happen.
Actual comment a Christian man made to me: ‘I don’t want to hear that stuff, it’s jut too scary’.
But Nostradamus does not scare people, it makes them want more, despite the astrologer having been credited with predicting everything from the rise of Hitler to the shooting of JFK and the September 11th terror attacks.
In 1555, Michel de Nostradame (better known as simply Nostradamus) published his book Les Prophéties. The book, featuring 942 poetic quatrains, allegedly foretold the future.
Nostradamus gets a pass from believers by calling his predictions ‘delightfully vague’. Followers say he predicted global warming:
“Like the sun the head shall sear the shining sea:
The Black Sea’s living fish shall all but boil.
When Rhodes and Genoa
Half-starved shall be
The local folk to cut them up shall toil.”
And he is credited with predicting artificial intelligence:
“The Moon in the full of night over the high mountain,
The new sage with a lone brain sees it:
By his disciples invited to be immortal,
Eyes to the south. Hands in bosoms, bodies in the fire.”
And he is credited with predicting a war reaching Europe in spring 2022:
“Blue-head shall white-head
harm in such degree
As France’s good to both shall e’er amount.” (see more predictions here)
Delightfully vague indeed.
Not so with God’s prophetic word:
Deuteronomy 18:22 “When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true that is the word that the Lord has not spoken.”
Nothing vague here …
Amos 3:7 “Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.”
Or here …
2 Peter 1:21 “For no prophecy was made by an act of human will but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”
Or here …
1 John 4:1 “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
Or here …
The Holy Spirit’s gift of prophecy to King David 1000 years before the crucifixion of Jesus, and 500 years before crucifixion was even invented:
“For dogs have surrounded Me;
The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me.
They pierced My hands and My feet;
I can count all My bones.” Psalm 22:18
The Holy Spirit’s gift of prophecy to Isaiah 750 years before the birth of Jesus …
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders And he will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:7
The Child was born and the Son was given, but His government is yet to come. It will be instituted in the millennium. The birth of the child proves the millennium will come.
The Holy Spirit’s gift of prophecy to Ezekiel 500 years before Israel’s rebirth as a nation …
And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” (Ez. 37:1-10) “and then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel.” (Ez. 37:11)
The Bible is 100% accurate 100% of the time.
