Israel 365 News: An S-300 Russian-made surface-to-air missile battery fired on Israeli Air Force jets during a reported Israeli strike on May 13, Channel 13 said in a report on Monday.

The report claimed that the S-300 battery is “operated by the Russians,” and that it constituted the first time that Russian forces fired on the IAF.

Five people were killed and seven injured on Friday in an alleged Israeli airstrike in Hama province in west-central Syria on Friday, according to Syrian state media.

Israel launched “bursts of missiles” from over the Mediterranean at 11:20 p.m., triggering air-defense systems, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency, or SANA.

“The Syrians, as is their tendency, fired all their missiles, and when IAF jets began moving away from the attack area, the Russian battery fired a number of missiles into the air,” said the report. “The missiles did not constitute a threat on IAF planes and there was no lock by the battery’s radar on the planes, but this is a dramatic precedent.” Read More …

Opinion: “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshek and Tubal.”

Sometimes Bible prophecy leaps off the page and into a post. For the past few years Vladimir Putin has put on a friendly face to Israel leaders  all the while providing Iran with weapons and nuclear technology:

Russia Completes S-300 Delivery to Iran

Russia completed delivery of the S-300 air defense missile system to Iran last month, concluding an $800 million deal signed between the two states in 2007, state-run Russian press agency RIA Novosti reported. Putin, or whoever the Russian Gog turns out to be, will form an alliance with Iran, Turkey, and at least 4 North Africa nation that will attack Israel from all sides:

The Weapons and Climate of The Gog & Magog War - Theology in Perspective

And here is the part that has created debate for 2 thousand years. The attack will not happen until Israel is living in peace and safety sparking another debate regarding Psalm the 83 war as the catalyst.

“After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword (Hebrew- charab/synonymous with war) and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely.” Ezekiel. 38:8 NIV

I try to imagine the astonishment of the world watching this invasion in real time. Imagine the secular reporters who have spewed anti-Semitism for decades watch with anticipation of a massive Russian victory ….

You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.” Ezekiel 38:16 NIV

God will show to a fallen word that His love for the Jewish people has never wavered or changed even though they have turned from Him so many times.

In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. 21 I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Every man’s sword will be against his brother” Ezekiel 19:21 NIV

Here is the most amazing part. When this happens the Church will be in the New Jerusalem some men and women on earth will blaspheme God.

“And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.” Rev. 16:9
