Hezbollah: Maritime Border Dispute with Israel Not Over

Jewish Press: Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah gave a speech on Saturday evening that was primarily devoted to the maritime border agreement, in which he declared that there is a still a maritime area that has not yet been liberated, in other words, the conflict with Israel is not over, according to a report and translation by Abu Ali Express.

This is similar to Nasrallah’s claims following the Blue Line land border demarcation of Israel’s northern border with Lebanon that was recognized by the UN in the year 2000. At that time, Nasrallah listed areas that Lebanon/Hezbollah do not accept as being legitimately under Israeli control, including the Sheba farms, and therefore the conflict is still ongoing.

Nasrallah’s claim then was followed by Hezbollah initiating multiple border violations, kidnappings and terror attacks against Israel, ultimately leading to the Second Lebanon War in 2006.

The smiling Nasrallah explained how great the achievement is for Lebanon and clarified that it was achieved only thanks to the fact that Hezbollah was able to create a real threat in the war against Israel.

Opinion: The smile says it all. Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s leader since 1992, has no intentions of a peaceful gas deal with Israel. We have hundreds of posts detailing how the terror group Hezbollah (inhabitants of Tyre) will join the Psalm 83:1-8 alliance to destroy Israel, but itself will be destroyed, Obadiah 1:8

“The house of Jacob shall be a fire,
And the house of Joseph a flame;
But the house of Esau shall be stubble;
They shall kindle them and devour them,
And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau,”
For the Lord has spoken.”

Lebanon the country, however, will be included in Millennial Kingdom by God’s grace.

From GracethruFaith.com: And what is Lebanon’s eventual destiny? Zechariah and Ezekiel both say it will once again become part of the Promised Land as God has always intended. Speaking of Israel in the Millennium, He said;

Though I scatter them among the peoples, yet in distant lands they will remember me. They and their children will survive, and they will return. I will bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them to Gilead and Lebanon, and there will not be room enough for them. (Zech. 10:9-11)

After the 2nd Coming, the first recipient of land for the Millennium will be the tribe of Dan and the land they’ll be given will include most of present day Lebanon (Ezek. 48:1).

The interior of the Millennial temple will be finished in wood (Ezek. 41:15-26) instead of the gold of past Temples. And once again Lebanon will furnish the wood that brings beauty to the Lord’s house.

“The glory of Lebanon will come to you, the juniper, the fir and the cypress together, to adorn my sanctuary; and I will glorify the place for my feet” (Isaiah 60:13).

And so Lebanon has a glorious future, but not until it’s returned to its rightful place in the northernmost parts of Israel. Only then will Lebanon know peace. You can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah.
