Foreign policy: Secretary of State Antony Blinken has issued a blanket authorization for U.S. diplomatic outposts around the world to fly the Pride flag on the same flagpole as the U.S flag at their embassy or consulate showcasing support for LGBTQ rights.

“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” Leviticus 18:22

The directive marks a departure from how the Trump administration handled the matter while the State Department was run by former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient …” Romans 1:28

In a confidential cable reviewed by Foreign Policy and sent to diplomatic posts around the world, Blinken gave authority for diplomats to fly the Pride flag before May 17, which marks the international day against homophobia, transphobia, and biphobia, as well as June, which in the United States and many other countries is Pride month.

Flying the Pride flag at U.S. embassies became a point of contention during the Trump era, when, under Pompeo, the State Department blocked embassies’ requests to fly the flag on the same flagpole as the U.S. banner. Diplomats were told they could display Pride symbols elsewhere in embassies. Read More

  1. Please forgive! But the first words that came to mind were not ones that I would part with on this post, and certainly not in a “Christian” context. Humans do stupid things when blinded by arrogance and the ways of this dying world. Scripture says to pray for these poor souls but it also says in Jeremiah 7:16 “…do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer, nor make intercession to Me; for I will not hear you.” I fear that “they” and this country have reached the point of no return. Our cup of iniquity has reached the top and is flowing over and God’s hedge of protection is quickly slipping away allowing the Dark Lord to unleash his minions and human mercenaries unprecedented access in the form of great deception, division, and eventual destruction. Isaiah 5:20 “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil….” Verse 21, “Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight.”
