Official announcements from Washington herald the reduction of the US military presence in the Middle East. This reduction will include air defense in outposts in Saudi Arabia dealing with the Houthi problem in Yemen. This is not shocking news. For President Joe Biden, US foreign policy priorities are now focused primarily on China and much less on the Middle East (or Russia).
This is the reason for the administration’s clear lack of interest in the Middle East, and why Biden has so far shown no extraordinary eagerness to recreate the Obama administration’s first term and get deeply involved in the complex swamp of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Daniel was now an old man and yet there were many questions that would not be understood until the time of the end. The intent of this verse was to inform Daniel that as the end of the age approaches, Bible students will have a greater understanding of prophetic Scriptures.

Does Daniel 9:27 written 2500 years ago offer clues on the Abraham Accords?
“Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering …”
The peace treaties that Donald Trump, Jared Kushner and Benjamin Netanyahu engineered are weakening, waiting for the ‘he’ in the prophecy, Antichrist, who will confirm (not create) a 7 year (Hebrew week) peace with Israel and many (not all) nations.
After 3.5 years (middle of the week), Antichrist will bring an end to animal sacrifice indicating that the third temple will be in existence, since sacrifice and offering can only be performed in a temple.
