Two Trains
Chapter 2. The Church Train
32 AD – The Holy Spirit is the Conductor
The Church Train begins in Israel on Pentecost. In the same way that Jesus called each of His disciples, followers of Jesus are called individually and required to believe by faith: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
Two trains continue side by side:
The New Covenant Begins
Believe in Jesus: John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
What Must I Do To Be Saved? Acts 16:31 “So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Repent and Believe Mark 1:14 “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
Eternal Security: John 10:28 “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of My hand.”
The Church will be kept from (Greek out of) the trial: Revelation 3:10 “ Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”
