Zero Hedge: The escalating regulatory attack on agricultural producers from Holland and the United States to Sri Lanka and beyond is closely tied to the United Nations’ “Agenda 2030” Sustainable Development Goals and the U.N.’s partners at the World Economic Forum (WEF), numerous experts told The Epoch Times.
Indeed, several of the U.N.’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are directly implicated in policies that are squeezing farmers, ranchers, and food supplies around the world.
High-level Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members within the U.N. system helped create the SDGs and are currently helping lead the organization’s implementation of the global plan, The Epoch Times has previously documented.
If left unchecked, multiple experts said, the U.N.-backed sustainability policies on agriculture and food production would lead to economic devastation, shortages of critical goods, widespread famine, and a dramatic loss of individual freedoms.
Already, millions of people worldwide are facing dangerous food shortages, and officials around the world say those are set to get worse as the year goes on.
There is an agenda behind it all, experts told The Epoch Times. Read More …
Opinion: “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places” Matthew 24:7.
“Then Jesus told His disciples there would be a time of great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” Matthew 24:21
“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from (Greek ek, out of) the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” Revelation 3:10
With all that, it is astounding that the majority of Christian denominations calmly declare that they are sure they will go through the tribulation… protected.
Last Saturday, on the Prophecy Today Radio Broadcast, Rick DeYoung interviewed Dr. Rob Congdon about a growing faction of the Baptist church that calls themselves ‘reformed’.
Here are my notes from the Broadcast:
Dr. Rob Congdon: A new faction of Baptist Church called ‘reformed’ Baptists moved away from Elders to a vote by the congregations retaining a Calvinistic or reformed (allegorical) theology of Eschatology instead of a ‘Biblicist’ or literal interpretation of Scripture.
- The differences between the Baptist groups are now minor or indistinguishable. Aggressive Calvinists are found in both factions of the Baptist denomination.
- A significant difference has developed as to how Salvation works as to the presentation of the Gospel.
- Calvin’s view of prophecy is to avoid talking about the future, and Eschatology is not taught in Calvinistic churches.
The principal theologies found in Christian denominations today:
Replacement Theology: Israel was/is replaced by the Church in God’s plan. Found in the World Council of Churches, the Presbyterian Church USA, the Methodist Church, the Lutheran Church (ELCA), the Episcopal Church and the United Church of Christ.
Covenant Theology: All the redeemed of Christ are Israel. Found in Protestantism/Calvinism since the time of the Reformation, can now add a growing faction of Baptists to its ranks.
Dispensational Theology: (by far the smallest group of believers) a literal interpretation of Scripture – there is a theological difference between Israel and the Church – the underlying purpose of God in this world is His glory. Formerly Baptist and hopefully still Evangelical.
What was it Jesus said about the ‘narrow gate’?
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14
