Front Page Mag: “In the name of Allah, the merciful and compassionate,” Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian Authority leader, said, “we would like to welcome Secretary Clinton.”

“Blinken,” someone corrected him.

“Sorry, Blinken,” the 86-year-old Islamic terrorist leader said.

Secretary of State Blinken had to travel thousands of miles away to find a leader even more unpopular and out of it than the one he had left behind at the White House.

That was last year. This year, Abbas got Blinken’s name right and not much else.

After 17 years (and just one election), Abbas has seen a lot of secretaries of state come and go to get their pictures taken with him and then send him a few hundred million dollars.

Last year, Abbas told Blinken that he had “postponed the elections” because of Israel and that the moment he gets his paws on Jerusalem, “we will hold them immediately and without any delay, because ultimately what we’re interested in is to establish democracy throughout Palestine.”

This year they can’t be held either because Abbas still doesn’t have Jerusalem. Read More …

Opinion: When my wife asked an Israeli cab driver who caused all the terror attacks in Israel, he answered without hesitation: Esav, brother of Jakov.

Just that one statement summed up 3500 years of brutal death and turmoil that is playing out every day in Israel, but few people can understand it.

Zechariah got it …

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem.”

Obadiah got it …

Will I not in that day,” says the Lord,
“Even destroy the wise men from Edom,
And understanding from the mountains of Esau?

And Ezekiel got it …

“therefore, as I live,” says the Lord God, “I will prepare you for blood (Esau/Mt. Seir), and blood shall pursue you; since you have not hated blood, therefore blood shall pursue you.”

And finally Malachi, the last prophet of the Old Testament, identified where Esau’s descendants would be in the time just before the return of Jesus Christ.

Even though Edom has said,
“We have been impoverished,
But we will return and build the desolate places”

Before the Jews returned to the land, it was a most desolate place. In 1867 Mark Twain said this:

“ …[a] desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds-a silent mournful expanse….A desolation is here that not even imagination can grace with the pomp of life and action….We never saw a human being on the whole route….There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere. Even the olive and the cactus, those fast friends of the worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.”

Malachi 1:4-5 continues:

Thus says the Lord of hosts:

“They may build, but I will throw down;
They shall be called the Territory of Wickedness,
And the people against whom the Lord will have indignation forever.”

It is no mystery what is taking place in Israel today. Esau’s descendants are fulfilling prophecy and the greatest superpower ever created, is helping Edom, to its own destruction.
