“Indefensible Edict” – DeSantis Rages After Biden’s FDA Restricts Use Of Monoclonal Antibody Treatments

Governor Ron DeSantis is demanding the Biden Administration reverse its sudden  decision to revoke emergency use authorization (EUA) for monoclonal antibody treatments.

In a statement from the Florida Governor’s office, he rages that this abrupt and unilateral action by the Biden Administration will prevent access to lifesaving treatments for Floridians and Americans.

“Without a shred of clinical data to support this action, Biden has forced trained medical professionals to choose between treating their patients or breaking the law,” said Governor Ron DeSantis.

“This indefensible edict takes treatment out of the hands of medical professionals and will cost some Americans their lives. There are real-world implications to Biden’s medical authoritarianism – Americans’ access to treatments is now subject to the whims of a failing president.”

“Rather than giving Americans the option for various COVID treatments, the FDA and the Biden Administration issued their royal decree, taking away the very thing that is proven to reduce hospitalizations and save lives,” said Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez.

“Monoclonal antibody treatments like Regeneron have had a positive impact for thousands of Floridians. For the CDC and FDA, which have been consistently inconsistent throughout the entire pandemic, to restrict treatment does nothing but put individuals at risk.”

“In our field of medicine, when someone comes to you seeking a treatment that could save their life, it is essential to have treatment options to ensure health care providers can make the best decisions for their patients,” said Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo.

Christian Politician In Finland, Grandmother Of Six, On Trial After Posting Bible Tweet

On Monday, a staunchly Christian member of Finland’s parliament who is a mother of five children and a grandmother of six went on trial, facing criminal charges for her Biblical views as demonstrated in a 2019 Bible tweet, a radio show in 2019, and a church pamphlet from 2004.

Dr. Päivi Räsänen, whose husband is a pastor in the Lutheran Church, is a veteran member of parliament and former minister of the interior. The Finnish Prosecutor General has brought three criminal charges against her with possibly two years of imprisonment.

As ADF International, which is supporting Räsänen, reported, “Police investigations against Räsänen started in June 2019. As an active member of the Finnish Lutheran church, she addressed the leadership of her church and questioned its official sponsorship of the LGBT event ‘Pride 2019,’ accompanied by an image of a bible text.”

ADF International noted that Räsänen is being “prosecuted for the crime of ‘ethnic agitation,’ under the section of ‘war crimes and crimes against humanity’ in the Finnish criminal code.” The prosecution argues that Räsänen’s views are discriminatory towards minorities.

Räsänen stated last week, “I will continue to stand for what I believe and what I have written. And I will speak and write about these things, because they are a matter of conviction, not only an opinion. I trust that we still live in a democracy, and we have our constitution and international agreements that guarantee our freedom of speech and religion.”

Christian persecution in Cuba, a nation that was overwhelmingly Catholic before communism befell its population, has increased significantly in the past year due to the rising presence of Christian voices in the pro-democracy movement there, the Christian aid organization Open Doors found.

Open Doors published its annual World Watch List – a ranking of the worst places in the world to be a Christian – last week, documenting rising persecution as the stranglehold of jihadist movements tightens around places like Nigeria and Afghanistan and repressive leaders use the Chinese coronavirus pandemic as an excuse to limit the right of Christians to freely assembly.

Open Doors reported that, as of the end of 2021, 360 million Christians live in places that discriminate heavily against them and that, in the past year, 5,898 Christians were killed as a result of their embrace of their faith.

Latin America, as one of the most heavily Christian-populated regions in the world, does not often see its nations rank highly on the World Watch.

Ex-Pope Benedict XVI failed to act in child abuse cases — report

A child abuse report released in Germany on Thursday found that former Pope Benedict XVI failed to act in four cases of mistreatment.

Benedict has denied the report, with a spokesperson expressing “shock and shame” at the findings.

“ Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.” Romans 13:1

What does the report say?

According to law firm Westphal Spilker Wastl (WSW), which conducted the investigation, Benedict failed to prevent abuse of minors during his tenure as archbishop of Munich and Freising from 1977 to 1982.

“In a total of four cases, we reached a consensus there was a failure to act,” said attorney Martin Pusch, who presented the WSW report.

Two cases involve priests who were legally charged with child abuse and were allowed to continue their work in the church as pastors.

The church also took no official disciplinary action against the clergymen, and it appears that no care was given to their victims.

COVID Won’t Stop Global Elites From Hobnobbing In Davos As Economic Forum Set For May

Assessment: “At Davos a few years ago, the Edelman Survey showed us that the good news is that the elite across the world trust each other more and more, so we can come together and design and do beautiful things together. The bad news is that in every single country they were polling, the majority of the people trusted the elite less.”

We doubt anybody was surprised when the “climate-conscious” organizers of the World Economic Forum postponed the annual gathering in Davos for the second year in a row (last year’s event was ultimately canceled after an unsuccessful attempt at moving it).

And in a sign of just how important the Alpine confab is for the business and political elites who actually run the world to see each other face-to-face (instead of virtually in the metaverse like they’re doing this week), the WEF has just released a statement affirming that this year’s event will eventually take place…so long as all safety precautions can be taken.

Right now, the tentative dates are May 22-26, according to a statement emailed to members that was obtained by Bloomberg.

Though we can’t say for sure what the COVID numbers will look like then, the fact that it’s only a few months away suggests the elites are ready to return to “normally” living their lives – even if some of their restrictions on businesses and socializing remain intact.

With the likes of Bill Gates and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla already trumpeting the notion that life will likely return to “normal” after the omicron wave subsides, the justification for holding the event in Singapore or some other emerging metropolis has already been laid.

But why must Davos go on? We’re pretty sure if you ask “the elites” who attend every year, they would be more than happy to tell you (for better or worse).
