Stagflation Is Coming To A Theater Near You

If it looks like a duck, walks like one and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck. Inflation is rising and consumer spending power is falling. Those are clear warnings of slower growth and higher costs — spelling out the dreaded STAGFLATION scenario that the Fed is pretty much powerless against, leaving risk assets in the cross hairs.

During the pandemic spread, many economists had pointed to the savings rate as key to maintaining consumer spending power in the face of rising prices. But as the chart above shows, that is no longer the case. Savings as a percentage of disposable income has cratered. Add to that the drop in real earnings and you have a consumer running out of gas to fuel spending and corporate earnings.

” … And he who earns wages,
Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” Haggai 1:6

It all points to slower spending, higher prices and lower earnings, which reduces stock prices, lowering the wealth effect resulting in stagflation. Things are not looking so rosy for 2022 without a real boost to wages.

Sweden Starts Microchipping COVID Passports in People

Assessment: The chips, which are slightly larger than a grain of rice, can be implanted in the arm, between the thumb and forefinger, or in other body parts …

People in Sweden have started getting implanted with microchips that contain their COVID-19 passports, according to Newsweek.

The chip, developed by Epicenter, can store a COVID-passport under the skin.

He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads” Rev. 13:16

“Implants are very versatile technology that can be used for many different things, and right now it is very convenient to have COVID-passport always accessible on your implant,” Epicenter’s chief disruption officer Hannes Sjöblad told Ruptly.

In case your phone runs out of battery,” Sjöblad says, referring to the COVID-passports on phones, the chip, he adds, is “always accessible to you. So of course, that’s how we use this technology today, next year we are going to use it for something else.”

But according to an article from Nya Dagbladet, Sjöblad warns that because all that is required to read these chips is the swipe of a cellphone over the body, an implantee’s information is at risk of being hijacked.

“These chips are easy to read,” he warns, “which means that I can sneak up to you with my mobile and read what is on your chip. I usually tell people not to write the secrets of their lives on their chip.”

Parsons’ article mentions that around “6,000 people in the country have so far had a chip inserted in their hands.”

UN passes 14 anti-Israel resolutions in 2021, only 4 against all other countries

Assessment: North Korea, Iran, Myanmar, and Russia, for its activity in Crimea, are the only other countries to be officially condemned by the UN over the past year. Meanwhile, a draft resolution against the Syrian regime for its crimes against humanity was deferred. “The UN’s assault on Israel with a torrent of one-sided resolutions is surreal,” says Hillel Neuer, executive director of NGO UN Watch …

The United Nations General Assembly concluded its activities for 2021 over the weekend, and this year, too, Israel was the target of a cascade of condemnations and resolutions against it, well beyond and completely disproportionate to other countries.

The two latest condemnations were issued on Friday due to the automatic anti-Israel majority in the UN. In one resolution, pertaining to an event in 2006, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed “concern that Israel did not acknowledge its responsibility for the oil spill” off the Lebanese coast and failed to clarify how it intends to compensate the Lebanese government for it.

Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed …” Psalm 2:2-3

The second resolution condemned Israel for “exploiting the natural resources of the Palestinians, and on the Golan Heights.” It should be noted that the text makes no mention of Hamas’ commandeering of international aid money to fund the construction of terror tunnels rather than to rebuild destroyed infrastructure; environmental pollution caused by Palestinian tire burning; destruction of flora and fauna with arson balloons and kites; and refusal to develop their own water resources and deal with their own sewage as required by the Oslo Accords.

In total, the General Assembly passed 14 anti-Israel resolutions in 2021, while the other 194 countries in the world were hit with a grand total of four resolutions of condemnation – against North Korea, Iran, Myanmar, and Russian activity in Crimea. Meanwhile, a draft resolution against the Syrian regime highlighting its crimes against humanity was deferred.

AMERICANS IDENTIFYING AS CHRISTIAN AT ALL-TIME LOW, SECULARISM AT ALL-TIME HIGH

Assessment: “If the unaffiliated were a religion, they’d be the largest religious group in the United States …

A new survey by the Pew Research Institute concluded that the religiously unaffiliated share of the US public is 6 percentage points higher than it was five years ago and 10 points higher than a decade ago, indicating that the US trend towards secularization is continuing at a fast pace.

“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of [a]sin is revealed, the son of perdition” 2 Thess. 2:3

The survey showed that people who self-identified as Christians (including Protestants, Catholics, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Orthodox Christians) make up 63% of the adult population. Though this is an absolute majority, it has dropped twelve points in the last decade.

29% of Americans identified as “nones” ( people who describe themselves as atheists, agnostics, or “nothing in particular”). Though affiliated Christians currently outnumber “nones” by more than three-to-one, in 20017, when Pew first began to ask this question, this ratio stood at almost five-to-one (78% vs. 16%).

“If the unaffiliated were a religion, they’d be the largest religious group in the United States Elizabeth Drescher, an adjunct professor of religious studies at Santa Clara University, told The Associated Press.

Four arrested in connection with fatal Homesh terror attack

Assessment: “All terrorists need to know that the State of Israel will hold them accountable. They cannot hide for long. Every terrorist must know that he/she is on borrowed time” …

Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal terrorist attack near Homesh in Judea and Samaria on Thursday, the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) said on Sunday.

The suspects were taken into custody following a joint operation in the village of Silat al-Harithiya by the Shin Bet, Israel Defense Forces and Israel Police anti-terrorism unit, the Shin Bet said in a statement. Israeli forces also seized weapons believed to have been used in the attack.

The suspects were transferred to the Shin Bet for interrogation.

” … Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob, And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.” Malachi 1:2-3

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who visited the Shin Bet forward command center overnight and closely followed the operation, commended the country’s security forces for the swift result.

“I commend the ISA, the IDF and the Israel National Counter-Terrorism Unit on quickly bringing this to a close, with multiple units cooperating and acting in concert, which led to the capture of the terrorists who carried out the attack in Samaria,” said Bennett, according to a statement from his office.

White House Turns on Joe Manchin for Killing Joe Biden’s Build Back Better Bill

Assessment: After passing more than $3 trillion in spending over and above what it takes to run the country, Joe Manchin saved the Democrats the embarrassment of of another spike higher in inflation …

The White House issued a condemnation of Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) on Sunday after the senator said he would not vote for the Build Back Better bill, effectively killing it in its current form.

“If his comments on FOX and written statement indicate an end to that effort, they represent a sudden and inexplicable reversal in his position, and a breach of his commitments to the President and the Senator’s colleagues in the House and Senate,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement released on Sunday after Manchin appeared on Fox News to announce his final position.

Democrats are trying to pass the bill using budget reconciliation, which requires every Senate Democrat to support the measure in order to pass.

Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance Proverbs 1:5

Manchin said he was deeply concerned about the bill, which he described as “mammoth” and warned about its effects on the United States economy through inflation and increased debt.

“I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation,” Manchin said on Fox News Sunday. “I just can’t.”

The saga of Ethiopian aliyah

Assessment: Ethiopia is a Cush nation mentioned in Ezekiel 38:5 NIV as one of the Gog Magog nations that will attack Israel. God is removing His people from the destruction that will come upon the invading nations as foretold in Ezekiel 39:6 …

In November 1984, the State of Israel initiated Operation Moses to extract thousands of Ethiopian Jews who, fleeing civil war and famine, had journeyed on foot through the deserts of the Horn of Africa into Sudan.

In total, 8,000 Ethiopian Jews, or Beta Israel, were brought on aliyah to Israel from Sudan, via Europe, and would be followed by tens of thousands more in Operation Solomon in 1991 and the remainder in the 1990s.

From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, The daughter of My dispersed ones, Shall bring My offering.” Zephaniah 3:10

After these waves of immigration, their brethren – known then as the Falash Mura but today as the descendants of Jews – who had converted under pressure to Christianity at the end of the 19th century, were also brought to Israel following the advocacy of activist groups and rulings of the Chief Rabbinate.

Today, amid a new and ongoing civil war in Ethiopia, efforts are again afoot to bring the remainders of these communities to Israel, and in accordance with a recent government decision, bring an end to mass emigration from Ethiopia.
