Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks retweets fake story about Biden withholding benefits to unvaccinated veterans

To our readers, my apologies for this fake news story that was just deleted from News Busters, our original source.

The Gazette: Democrats and others on Monday blasted Iowa freshman Republican U.S. Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks for sharing a fake news article from a satirical news website falsely claiming Democratic President Joe Biden’s administration of withholding health benefits from unvaccinated veterans.

Miller-Meeks, a licensed ophthalmologist and member of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, retweeted the fake story from www.delawareohionews.com with the headline “Biden Orders VA To Withhold Health Benefits From Unvaccinated Veterans” to her 11,000 followers from her personal Twitter account late Sunday. In sharing it, she added “if true, this is insane!”

Mutual Funds Are Simply “Rebranding” As ESG And Watching The Inflows Pour In

Zero Hedge: No one has been more skeptical of the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance) movement than we have, consistently noting that the virtue signaling term, when appended to most investment vehicles, still winds up giving investors exposure to the same old energy, oil and gas and tech names they would normally be buying with any other index fund.

“For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.” Job 17:8 KJV

Most “ESG” funds still include companies that have been accused of poor environmental and/or labor practices and other companies that wouldn’t normally fall into the “warm and fuzzy” bucket people think they’re investing in when they see the green term, we’ve pointed out.

And now the Wall Street Journal is helping making our case, pointing out this week that funds are simply “rebranding” as ESG and watching inflows pour in. Just last year alone, 25 funds were rebranded as sustainable, according to data from Morningstar.  The Journal points out three examples

Inflation For Businesses Hits Highest Rate Since 2010

Daily Wire: Inflation for businesses reached a year-over-year rate of 8.3% — the metric’s highest level since at least 2010.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that the Producer Price Index — which monitors changes in input prices for businesses and other domestic producers — rose by 0.7% in August, slightly beating the 0.6% rate predicted by economists.

” …. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.” Haggai 1:6

The Producer Price Index is now increasing at an 8.3% year-over-year pace — the fastest since November 2010. Fox Business reports that the rate has now risen for the fifth consecutive month.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics explained that a large portion of the inflation for final demand goods was driven by higher meat prices:

About a quarter of the August advance in prices for final demand goods can be attributed to an 8.5-percent rise in the index for meats. Prices for residential natural gas, industrial chemicals, processed young chickens, motor vehicles, and steel mill products also moved higher. In contrast, the index for iron and steel scrap decreased 3.7 percent. Prices for diesel fuel and for natural, processed, and imitation cheese also moved lower. Read More

No more COVID-19 lockdowns, UK health minister suggests

Thompson Reuters: British health minister Sajid Javid said on Sunday he did not expect the country to see any more lockdowns to fight the COVID-19 crisis and ruled out the use of vaccine passports to allow people to attend mass events.

“I am not anticipating any more lockdowns. I think it would be irresponsible for any health minister around the world to take everything off the table but I just don’t see how we get to another lockdown,” he told the BBC’s Andrew Marr show.

Asked about so-called COVID passports, Javid added: “What I can say is that we’ve looked at it properly and whilst we should keep it in reserve as a potential option, I am pleased to say we will not going be going ahead with plans for vaccine passports.” Read More

US Military Equipment Left Behind In Afghanistan Spotted In Iran

Zero Hedge: US military equipment, including armored vehicles worth hundreds of thousands of dollars each, have reportedly been spotted in Iran following the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, several social media accounts have reported.

Kian Sharifi, a BBC journalist focused on Iranian politics and social media, tweeted on Wednesday several photographs of Humvees and other military vehicles on a highway connecting the central city of Semnan to the city of Garmsar, southeast of the capital Tehran.

Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets” Ezekiel 38:5

Sharifi said the photos came from an Iranian Telegram channel, which speculated the vehicles were either sold by the Taliban to Iran, or were taken from Afghan soldiers fleeing the country after the group took over most of the country, including the capital, Kabul, last month.

An Iranian Telegram channel that covers military stories has released these “exclusive” images that purportedly show humvees and other military vehicles spotted on the Semnan-Garmsar road in #Iran. What I am certain of is that those are humvees and that is an Iranian road.

Al Qaeda Leader Appears In New Video Marking 9/11, Despite Death Rumors

Zero Hedge: It’s been years since the world heard from Al-Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahri, who became the main face of the terror group after the 2011 death of Osama bin Laden. After the wars in Iraq and Syria and with the rise of ISIS, al-Qaeda has also seen its “prestige” eclipsed in recent years.

Zawahri has even long been rumored to be dead; however, a new video of the reclusive 70-year old jihadi and one of the founding members of al-Qaeda is being considered fresh proof that he’s still alive and is directing the organization. The video was reportedly released to mark the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, as The Associated Press details:

““Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.” Zechariah 12:2

The SITE Intelligence Group that monitors jihadist websites said the video was released Saturday. In it, al-Zawahri said that “Jerusalem Will Never be Judaized,” and praised al-Qaida attacks including one that targeted Russian troops in Syria in January.

But there’s speculation that it may have been recorded at the start of this year, given no mention is made of the recent Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. Rita Katz, head of the counter-terror analysis group SITE, said in a weekend statement of Zawahri that “He could still be dead, though if so, it would have been at some point in or after Jan 2021.”

Taliban Says It Wants Ties With U.S. and Rest of the World – but Not Israel

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid

Harretz: The Taliban is ready to build relations with the world — except for Israel. Suhail Shaheen, the spokesman for the Taliban that assumed control of Afghanistan last month, told Sputnik News that his country is ready to work with the United States and other countries in rebuilding the Asian land.

I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

“Yes, of course, in a new chapter if America wants to have a relation with us, which could be in the interest of both countries and both peoples, and if they want to participate in the reconstruction of Afghanistan, they are welcome,” Shaheen told the Russian government-run news agency.

“Of course, we won’t have any relation with Israel. We want to have relations with other countries; Israel is not among these countries.” Read More

NYT Confirms Biden Murdered Innocent Family In Kabul Drone Strike

Zero Hedge: President Joe Biden murdered an innocent family when the US military conducted a “righteous strike” on Aug. 29 against a vehicle that American officials thought was an ISIS bomb that posed an imminent threat to thousands of people at the Kabul airport.

In a late Friday afternoon report, the New York Times reveals that “Military officials said they did not know the identity of the car’s driver when the drone fired, but deemed him suspicious because of how they interpreted his activities that day, saying that he possibly visited an ISIS safe house and, at one point, loaded what they thought could be explosives into the car.”

In reality, they were filling water bottles.

“For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light” Luke 8:17

More via the New York Times:

Times reporting has identified the driver as Zemari Ahmadi, a longtime worker for a U.S. aid group. The evidence, including extensive interviews with family members, co-workers and witnesses, suggests that his travels that day actually involved transporting colleagues to and from work. And an analysis of video feeds showed that what the military may have seen was Mr. Ahmadi and a colleague loading canisters of water into his trunk to bring home to his family.

While the U.S. military said the drone strike might have killed three civilians, Times reporting shows that it killed 10, including seven children, in a dense residential block.

Mr. Ahmadi, 43, had worked since 2006 as an electrical engineer for Nutrition and Education International, a California-based aid and lobbying group. The morning of the strike, Mr. Ahmadi’s boss called from the office at around 8:45 a.m., and asked him to pick up his laptop.

Escaped Palestinian prisoners mistakenly hoped for help from Arab Israelis

YNet News: The relatively quick arrest of four of the six Palestinian prisoners who made a dramatic escape from Gilboa Prison earlier this week indicates their plans were not as sophisticated as security officials initially estimated.

They also probably did not receive significant assistance from accomplices outside of prison.

תפיסתו של זכריא זביידי

The fugitives’ plan was probably based on the assumption that they would find short-term shelter in Arab communities near Gilboa in northern Israel.
