Zero Hedge: Finally, it looks like the world might be on the verge of obtaining a therapeutic drug that’s actually effective at helping patients infected with COVID. But you probably won’t hear anything about this latest breakthrough from the American media, which covered the race for a vaccine with breathless enthusiasm.
” … And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3
According to a report in the Jerusalem Post, some 93% of 90 seriously ill coronavirus patients treated in several Greek hospitals with a new drug developed by a team at Tel Aviv’s Sourasky Medical Center were discharged in five days or fewer during the Phase II trial of the new therapeutic.
The Phase II trial confirmed the results of Phase I, which was conducted in Israel last winter. That trial found that 29 out of 30 patients in moderate to serious condition recover within days, while no cases of serious side effects have yet been detected.
“The main goal of this study was to verify that the drug is safe,” Prof. Nadir Arber said. “To this day we have not registered any significant side effect in any patient from both groups.”

The scientists are preparing to begin the Phase 3 trial, which they hope to complete by the end of the year. That probably couldn’t happen quickly enough, since the world is already waking up to the fact that the vaccines originally marketed as more than 90% effective are actually helping the virus to mutate into more virulent strains. Breitbart: Economists had expected the inflation measure to rise by 5.5 percent on an annual basis and 0.5 percent compared with a year ago.
Core inflation, which excludes the volatile food and energy categories, rose 4.3 compared with 12-months ago—apart from the prior month’s 4.5 percent rise, that is the biggest annual increase since 1991—and 0.3 compared with June. Both figures were in-line with expectations.
“You have sown much, and harvested little. You eat, but you never have enough; you drink, but you never have your fill …” Haggai 1:6
Prices rose 0.9 percent on a monthly basis in June and 5.4 percent annually. The June monthly and annual figures were the highest since June 2008, when prices jumped 1 percent in a single month.
Federal Reserve and Biden administration have said they expect this rapid rise in the cost of living to taper off later this year or early next year. A growing number of investors and economists, however, are warning that inflation is likely to stick around longer than anticipated.
Some Federal Reserve officials have begun to say that the Fed should move sooner to lower the level of monetary policy accommodation by reducing the central bank’s bond purchases.

A survey of consumers by the New York Fed found that the public expects prices to rise 4.8 percent over the next 12-months, matching June’s record high in data going back eight years. A plurality of Americans now say price levels are the most important economic indicator, a change from earlier in the year when unemployment and jobs figures were considered the most important. New American: Scientists advising European governments are coming to the realization that mass vaccinations are not going to eradicate COVID-19. Instead, they are recommending that the virus be allowed to circulate throughout the population, with precautions taken for the most vulnerable individuals.
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32
“The delta variant has wrecked any chance of herd immunity, a panel of experts including the head of the Oxford vaccine team said as they called for an end to mass testing so Britain can start to live with Covid,” the Telegraph reported Tuesday.
Although “more than three quarters of [U.K.] adults have now received both jabs,” wrote the paper, “experts said it would never be enough to stop Covid from spreading.”
“We don’t have anything that will stop transmission, so I think we are in a situation where herd immunity is not a possibility and I suspect the virus will throw up a new variant that is even better at infecting vaccinated individuals,” Professor Andrew Pollard, who led the Oxford vaccine effort, told a parliamentary panel.
The notion that mass vaccination will put an end to COVID-19 is an article of faith among most Western movers and shakers, hence their continual push for more people to accept the jab and punishment of those who don’t. Read More
Israel 365: Did Naftali Bennett just threaten to cancel the Messiah?
Israel’s Prime Minister called for all Israelis to get vaccinated but implicit in his words was a message that non-vaccination would postpone the Messiah.
At Sunday’s cabinet meeting Naftali Bennett discussed the current spike in the pandemic. He threatened a new shutdown, saying, “If we get vaccinated in Elul, we can hear the shofar in Tishrei.”
The Hebrew month of Elul began this week, marking a period of intensified repentance in preparation for the Jewish high holiday period in the month of Tishrei when the shofar (ram’s horn) is blown on Rosh Hashanna. Read More
Breitbart: It is getting harder and harder for American workers to make ends meet as rising inflation outpaces pay gains, pushing down inflation-adjusted compensation at a pace almost never seen before.
“Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due.” Romans 4:4
Adjusted for inflation, hourly compensation fell 2.7 percent in the second quarter, data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on the nonfarm business sector showed Tuesday.
Real compensation fell 2.8 percent in the fourth quarter of 2011. That decline came in part because unadjusted wage gains were very small, just 0.5 percent. The economy was just extremely sluggish, with a low level of demand for labor following the financial crisis and the collapse of the housing bubble. The consumer price index increased 3.3 percent in the quarter.
The only other comparable contraction was in the first quarter of 1974, when real compensation fell 2.1 percent. Read More
Zero Hedge: The blatant hypocrisy of the liberal elites who attended former President Obama’s Martha’s Vineyard “scaled-down” maskless birthday party over the weekend continues as many guests flew in on their private jets, clogging up a tiny regional airport.
“Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless.” Job 8:13
Local newspaper Vineyard Gazette reports a “major jam-up of private jet traffic” was observed at Martha’s Vineyard Airport over the weekend ahead of Obama’s birthday bash.

Breitbart: French President Emmanuel Macron’s controversial and dystopian vaccine passport system came into effect on Monday, with police patrolling the streets and cafes of Paris, demanding citizens present health papers.
The vaccine passport or ‘pass sanitaire’ in French has now become a requirement for much of life in France, effectively creating a two-tiered society in which those who have been vaccinated will be granted more liberties if they can present their papers.
“and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Rev. 13:17
The digital certificate logs whether you have been vaccinated for more than seven days, or in the case of the Johnson & Johnson jab, four weeks. The pass also includes information on whether you have had a negative coronavirus test within the past 72 hours or can prove to have recovered from the Chinese virus in the past six months.
Starting on Monday, it has become a requirement to present the health pass to enter bars, cafes, and restaurants, including those with outdoor seating. The only exemption for this will be for drive-thru restaurants.
Vaccine passports are also mandated for people making long-distance journeys, including on busses, planes, and trains. The mandate has not extended to local public transport, however. Random checks by police on train platforms will be carried out in order to force compliance with the law.

Vaccine passports have now become a requirement to enter hospitals and care homes for visitors, except in emergency circumstances.
Health Minister Olivier Véran said last week that there will be a carve-out for end of life visits but said: “the frequent visits of families to bring flowers to a patient, it is over because it causes clusters”. Read More
AP News: France took a big step Monday into a post-pandemic future by requiring people to show a QR code proving they have a special virus pass before they can enjoy restaurants and cafes or travel by plane, train or bus across the country.
The measure is part of a government plan to encourage more people to get a COVID-19 vaccine shot and slow down a surge in infections, as the highly contagious delta variant now accounts for most cases in France. Over 36 million people in France, or more than 54% of the population, are fully vaccinated.
“He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads” Rev. 13:16
The special pass is issued to people who are vaccinated against COVID-19, or have proof of a recent recovery from the virus or who have a recent negative test. The measure also applies to tourists visiting the country.
In the southern city of Marseille, several restaurant owners did not check clients for the pass, an Associated Press reporter saw Monday. Read More
Bloomberg: A change to cryptocurrency reporting rules in the infrastructure bill was blocked in the Senate Monday, leaving language for broad oversight of virtual currencies still in the legislation that’s set to pass the Senate.
The amendment was designed to address concerns from the cryptocurrency industry that the original bill would require entities, like miners and software developers, to report tax data to the Internal Revenue Service that they didn’t have access to. The change was proposed after days of negotiations between three Republicans — Pat Toomey, Cynthia Lummis and Rob Portman — and two Democrats, Mark Warner and Kyrsten Sinema.
The amendment’s failure represents a blow to the crypto industry, which had pushed hard in recent weeks for more narrowly targeted oversight. Portman has said there are other ways to clarify the bill’s language, including Senate floor speeches to show the lawmakers’ intent and additional guidance from the Treasury Department. Lummis said Congress will have to revisit the issue.
