On December 16, Nimr Suleiman was sitting in a house in al-Reineh with several friends when a group of armed men burst in and opened fire.
Suleiman was hit by a spray of bullets and died on the spot. While his death is still being investigated, it is believed that the intruders had intended to gun down one of his companions.

The killing marked a tragic new record for bloodshed among Israel’s Arab citizens: 90 homicides since the start of 2020. By December 28, the toll had hit 96, representing a harrowing 50 percent jump in the murder rate among Arab Israelis in only four years.
“We’re counting our time in murders,” lamented Joint List MK Mansour Abbas, who directs a parliamentary committee on eliminating organized crime in Arab communities, in early November. Read More
Georgia Democrat Senate candidate Jon Ossoff vowed amnesty for all illegal aliens “who otherwise follow the law,” if he is elected, in response to a question about immigration during a campaign event Wednesday.

A self-described Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipient from Mexico, who was part of a small crowd gathered in front of Super Mercado La Villa for a “Latinx Meet & Greet” event Wednesday morning, asked Ossoff what he thought about immigration law for Latinos.
Ossoff said, “I will stand with you and all Dreamers, all DACA recipients, because Dreamers are every bit as American as any of us, and I’ll have your back in the U.S. Senate.” Read More
Bitcoin surged above $29,000 overnight and, despite a quick dump (that we’ve seen at each big figure break), has stabilized there as mainstream interest and trading activity soars.

And at $539 billion, the largest cryptocurrency surpassed the market cap yesterday of finance giant Berkshire Hathaway, the CEO of which, Warren Buffett, famously likened Bitcoin to “rat poison squared.”
And while crypto may remain “rat poison” to some, CoinTelegraph’s William Suberg notes that bitcoin has posted its highest transaction volume since early 2018 as data points to more and more investors entering the market.
Figures from on-chain analytics resource Digital Assets Data highlights December 2020 as already sparking Bitcoin’s second-largest transaction volumes. Read More
The US military flew nuclear-capable B-52 bombers to the Middle East Wednesday, CNN reports.

The purpose of the move, according to a statement from US Central Command, was “to underscore the US military’s commitment to regional security and demonstrate a unique ability to rapidly deploy overwhelming combat power on short notice.”
“The United States continues to deploy combat-ready capabilities into the US Central Command area of responsibility to deter any potential adversary and make clear that we are ready and able to respond to any aggression directed at Americans or our interests,” Gen. Frank McKenzie, the commander of US Central Command, said in a statement.
Wednesday’s flight constitutes the third bomber deployment in the Middle East in the last 45 days, noted CNN. Read More
There are two kinds of Chinese media: the actual, state-run media that answers to the Chinese Communist Party, and the U.S. and other Western media that rent themselves out to the CCP’s interests. This story focuses on the former.

Axios reported earlier this month that Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) had a relationship with a woman who turned out to be a spy for China’s communist government. The full nature of the relationship with Swalwell has not been confirmed, but Fang Fang (or Christine Fang, as she called herself) slept with at least two U.S. mayors and engaged in fundraising and campaign staffing for Swalwell. She established relationships with many California officials as they were on the political rise, according to the Axios report. In 2015, the FBI caught onto her and warned Swalwell about her. This was the same year the House Democrats under Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who had been briefed on the spy and her relationship with Swalwell, elevated him to the House Intelligence Committee.
Swalwell spent the entire Trump presidency blaming Russia for all manner of ills, but never blaming China for anything, even after the CCP attempted to cover up the coronavirus outbreak. This attempted coverup cost the world valuable time and allowed the virus to spread around the globe. More than 200,000 Americans have reportedly died due to the virus. Read More
U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) said Wednesday that he will join several House Republicans in objecting to the 2020 Electoral College vote when the results are presented to Congress on January 6.
In a news release, Hawley said he will object “to highlight the failure of some states, including notably Pennsylvania, to follow their own election laws as well as the unprecedented interference of Big Tech monopolies in the election.”
If Hawley or other senators object to each one of those, that action will trigger a process in which each body will debate allegations of voter fraud and election irregularities in each one for two hours apiece, or up to 12 hours.
“Following both the 2004 and 2016 elections, Democrats in Congress objected during the certification of electoral votes in order to raise concerns about election integrity. They were praised by Democratic leadership and the media when they did,” Hawley said. Read More
Although Health Ministry Director Hezy Levy yesterday insisted to reporters that “we won’t force people to take a vaccine. Israeli law doesn’t allow for it,” speaking before the Special Knesset Coronavirus Committee chaired by MK Yifat Shasha-Biton, Sheba Medical Center Chief Medical Officer and Chief Innovation Officer Dr. Eyal Zimlichman listed measures that are being planned to “maneuver” the population into vaccinating as a way of regaining freedom of movement.
The issue of how to “motivate” vaccine compliance has generated increasing interest, with commentators such as Mike Cernovich writing: “Government won’t force you to take vaccine. Amazon will. Airlines will. Banks will. You won’t be able to buy, sell, or trade without the vaccine.”
As if underscoring Cernovich’s words, Dr. Zimlichman told the committee: “Another thing that will apparently come into our lives, starting in small numbers already in January which is soon, and that’s the vaccine.
“If we’re discussing how to create motivation for Israeli citizens to vaccinate, I agree, you can’t force the population; it won’t work. We can talk about it until tomorrow, it won’t work.
“What is possible is to create motiv.ation. Whoever is vaccinated will automatically receive ‘green status’. Therefore, you may vaccinate, and receive Green Status to go freely in all the green zones: They’ll open for you cultural events, they’ll open to you the shopping malls, hotels, and restaurants. Social engineers are pushing tiny 200-sq-ft Ikea houses as the solution to climate change in another example of how our living standards are set to be lowered.
In an article entitled ‘Ikea tiny homes can help fight climate change by giving small footprints a big toehold’, Carl Pope, former head of the Sierra Club, gushes over the micro-homes (basically trailers) that sell for $47,550.
“Housing is an important source of climate pollution — directly responsible for about 5 percent of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States plus their electricity. Given Ikea’s emphasis on recycled and reusable materials, the company seems likely to accelerate some important shifts in the housing market. Ikea will also almost certainly take advantage of what it learns in the “tiny” segment of the building market to establish a foothold in the broader, potentially highly green, manufactured building space,” writes Pope.
While solar panels would struggle to heat larger homes, this isn’t an issue for the tiny homes, so long as you’re content living in a box. Read More
Long before Beto O’Rourke claimed the world only had 10 years left for humans to act against climate change, alarmists had spent decades predicting one doomsday scenario after another, each of which stubbornly failed to materialize. It seems climate armageddon has taken a permanent sabbatical.
Many of those doomsday predictions specifically mentioned the annus horribilus of 2020. Those predictions also failed, some rather spectacularly.
Steve Milloy, a former Trump/Pence EPA transition team member and founder of JunkScience.com, compiled ten climate predictions for 2020 that fell far off the mark.

In 1987, the Star-Phoenix in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, quoted James Hansen of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York. His model predicted an average temperature increase of “between one-half and one degree Celsius by the end of the ’90s.”
“And within 15 to 20 years of this, the earth will be warmer than it has been in the past 100,000 years,” Hansen said. According to the Star-Phoenix, his model predicted that “by the year 2020 we will experience an average temperature increase of around three degrees [Celsius], with even greater extremes.”
Milloy cited former NASA climatologist Roy Spencer, whose data suggest global temperatures have risen 0.64 degrees Celsius since 1987. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) shows an increase of about 0.5 degrees Celsius from 1987.
