‘Medicare For All’: Democrats Admit They Want To Socialize Health Care

Investors Op-Ed: Last week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi agreed on hearings for “Medicare for all,” which would effectively outlaw all private insurance in favor of a single, government-run plan.

”It’s a huge step forward to have the speaker’s support,” Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., head of the “Medicare for all” House caucus, told the Washington Post. ”We have to push on the inside while continuing to build support for this on the outside.”

In other words, Democrats are doing exactly what Republicans warned long ago that they would do — use ObamaCare as a steppingstone to push a complete government takeover of health care. more …

Opinion: Medicare for all was always the plan. Watch what then-Senator Barack Obama said 1 minute in:

Now media darling Alexandria Ocasio Cortez wants not just free health care, but free college, free housing, and free income as well:

How to pay for it is just not part of the equation.

Miss Ocasio-Cortez, or as the media now call her AOC, recently made the perfect argument against herself:

“The United Kingdom has a form of single-payer health care — Canada, France, Germany. What we need to realize that these investments are better and they are good for our future.”

And all those countries are broke and swimming in debt.

  1. My Christian, libertarian leaning brain is now wondering if I want a big beautiful impenetrable steel wall. Just days ago I would’ve slapped myself for thinking such thoughts.

However a closer look at the political landscape, coupled with our public/private debt totals, and the increasingly romanticized view of socialism among our youth makes me wonder if the US has crossed the point of no return from insanity. And it’s the the kind of insanity that blew in Fidel, Hugo Chavez, Pol Pot, ect. Look at the latest poll results on how democrats feel about socialism:

“For the first time in Gallup’s measurement over the past decade, Democrats have a more positive image of socialism than they do of capitalism.”

Now look at this graph on the debt:

When this debt binge pops and the socialists take over, they will do what all socialists have done before: Implement capital controls and halt citizens from traveling out of the country (they need the proletariat to feed their agenda). Even though I believe 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 will happen before it truly gets horrific, I wonder if we’re like Fortunato from Edgar Allan Poe’s short story, “The Cask of Amontillado.”
