Texas synagogue terrorist said he was ‘opening door’ for attacks on US

Assessment: For over 10 hours on Saturday, Akram held Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker, the spiritual leader of the synagogue, and three others hostage in the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Colleyville, Texas on Saturday …

Jerusalem Post: “I’m opening the doors for every youngster to enter America and f&$% with them,” said Malik Faisal Akram, the terrorist who held four people hostage in a Colleyville synagogue earlier this week, in a recording of a call between him and his brother, Gulbar, published by the Jewish Chronicle on Wednesday.

Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you were coming out of Egypt, how he met you on the way and attacked your rear ranks, all the stragglers at your rear, when you were tired and weary; and he did not fear God.” Deut. 25:17-18

In the recorded call, Akram can be heard telling his brother that he demanded that Pakistani Al-Qaeda-affiliated Aafia Siddiqui, who is serving an 86-year prison sentence for multiple felonies, be released and brought to him.

“I’ve told them I’ll release these four guys, I’ll come on the yard, I’ll have a toe to toe with you. Shoot me dead, shoot her (Siddiqui) dead because I’m dead and she’s dead, she’s 84 years, right?”

“They come into our f&%$ing countries, rape our women and f$%# our kids and we can’t come in their countries and fuck with them?” shouted Akram, referring to the Taliban and the US’s war in Afghanistan. “I’m setting the precedent today…you’re not gonna get away with it any more, even if they don’t release Dr. Aafia, who gives a f$%&?”

“I’m in a synagogue, I’ve got four beautiful guys, Jewish guys with me. I’m bombed up, I’ve got f&%$ing every ammunition. I’ve only been here two weeks and I’ve got them all at gunpoint,” added the terrorist. “They let James Foley die and they didn’t release her, but guess what? Maybe they’ll have compassion for f&$%ing Jews.”

Throughout the call, Akram repeated that he was trying to “die a martyr” and decried the US’s military actions abroad.

England Ends All COVID Passports, Mask Mandates, Work Restrictions

Assessment: Johnson told MPs that the Cabinet decided to remove its so-called “Plan B” measures on Wednesday morning as data suggest the Omicron wave has peaked nationally, and he attributed stabilising hospital admission numbers to “the extraordinary booster campaign” and the public’s compliance to the restriction measures.

Restrictions including COVID-19 passes, mask mandates, and work-from-home requirements will be removed in England, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Wednesday. Johnson also suggested that self-isolation rules may also be thrown out at the end of March as the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic becomes endemic.

Effective immediately, the UK government is no longer asking people to work from home.  The COVID pass mandate for nightclubs and large events won’t be renewed when it expires on Jan. 26. And from Thursday, indoor mask-wearing will no longer be compulsory anywhere in England.

The requirement for secondary school pupils to wear masks during class and in communal areas will also be removed from the Department for Education’s national guidance.

Roaring cheers from lawmakers could be heard in the House of Commons following Johnson’s announcements on masks.

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

‘Illegitimate’: President Biden Lays The Groundwork To Deny Results Of Midterm Elections

Assessment: With no questions on the border crisis, the soaring crime rate or Israel, President Biden’s pushed his Freedom to Vote Act that will ensue that voters can vote by mail, without an excuse or other qualifications required. It also contains a provision that would prohibit states from requiring voters present an ID in order to get an absentee ballot …

President Joe Biden wouldn’t outright say Wednesday whether he believes the upcoming election results will be legitimate if his election bills don’t pass.

Biden is pushing for passage of the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which would nationalize federal election laws. Republicans have blocked efforts to nationalize federal election laws, often arguing it subverts the Constitution.

Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, Who write misfortune,
Which they have prescribed” Isaiah 10:1

What's in the Freedom to Vote Act, John R. Lewis Voting Rights Bills? – NBC 6 South Florida

The president, speaking to reporters at a formal press conference at the White House, was asked about the passage of his election bills and whether he believes the upcoming election would be fair without them. Biden appeared to dodge directly answering, telling the nation it “depends.”

“It all depends on whether or not we’re able to make the case to the American people that some of this is being set up to try and alter the outcome of the election,” Biden said. “And it’s one thing – look, maybe I’m just being too much of an optimist. Remember how we thought not that many people were going to show up to vote in the middle of a pandemic? We had the highest voter turnout in the history of the United States of America.”

Iran sees ties with Russia as ‘new Middle East’ – analysis

Assessment: Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi is meeting  President Vladimir Putin on January 19 that may become a turning point on political, economic and trade relations between Russia and Iran …

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was in Moscow on Wednesday to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin. This is happening as the US is concerned about a Russian invasion of Ukraine. Moscow has backed Tehran at the Vienna nuclear talks with the West. This comes as Russia might also take part in another naval drill with Iran and China.

These are important talks. Russia is calling on the US to not supply weapons to Ukraine, and Turkey is offering to host Russia-Ukraine talks. This means that Iran’s visit is part of a larger Russian policy that stretches from Europe to the Middle East. Tehran sees Moscow as a key partner along with Beijing in its quest for more power.

I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. Persia, Cush and Put will be with them …” Ez. 38:4-5

Russian media are reporting on the trip.

“The visit may become a turning point in political, economic and trade relations between Iran and Russia, and it may also be effective in ensuring security, economic and trade relations in the region,” an Iranian news agency quoted the Iranian president as telling journalists at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport. “This trip is conducted at the invitation of Mr. Putin, and during this visit efforts will be made to promote the policy of good-neighborliness in the region.

Ray Epps’ Atty: FBI Scrubbed His Face From Suspect List Because He Was No Longer Unidentified

Assessment: In a Jan. 5 video, Epps was seen saying, “In fact, tomorrow, I don’t even want to say it because I will probably be arrested. Tomorrow, we need to go into the Capitol.” He later told Anne Ryman of the Arizona Republic, “The only thing that meant is we would go in the doors like everyone else. It was totally, totally wrong the way they went in.”

According to the attorney for Ray Epps, a former Arizona Oath Keeper whose presence at the January 6, 2021 events at Capitol Hill has drawn scrutiny all across social media, the reason the FBI removed Epps’ face from a January 6 suspect list six months later was partially because he was not an unidentified suspect any longer.

John Blischak told Politico that Epps contacted the FBI on January 8, 2021, and “explained his position” after a relative informed him news reports had featured him. “The list contains images and videos of rioters who were caught on camera in the crowd but who have not been identified or tracked by the bureau,” Politico added.

“For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.” Luke 8″17

Blischak admitted he was unaware why Epps’ face was not scrubbed from the website for months.

Mary McCord, a former acting assistant attorney general for national security, echoed, “The FBI no longer needs help identifying him. It also seems from his attorney that he has been cooperative, so the FBI isn’t looking for him and has a way to reach him through counsel,” as The Washington Post reported.

Videos on Jan. 5 show Epps urging other to “go into the Capitol.” “Some in the crowd quickly booed and responded to with chants accusing Epps of being a ‘fed,’” Politico noted, pointing out that Epps added,.“Peacefully.”

US views on EastMed pipeline have ripples for Israel-Greece ties

Assessment: That cancelling the pipeline would benefit Turkey’s maritime drilling  vessels in the area, and loosen Russia’s stranglehold on European Energy outweighed the financial benefit to our only ally in the Middle East Israel, is typical Biden foreign policy …

US opposition to a pipeline from Israel to Greece via Cyprus will have ripples across the Mediterranean.

Although the concept has been around for years, it gained momentum in January 2020 during a trilateral summit between the three countries of the “Energy Triangle.” It was opposed by Turkey, which sought a deal with Libya that would cut across the pipeline in vast Turkish claims over the seas.

“I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

(CYPRIOT PRESIDENT Nicos Anastasiades, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attend a joint news conference following the signing of a deal to build the EastMed sub-sea pipeline to carry natural gas from the eastern Mediterranean to Europe)

The new US administration has voiced misgivings and no longer supports the pipeline according to reports that first emerged in Greece and have now been confirmed.

Turkish right-wing media which is pro-government has celebrated the US comments. While Turkey’s ruling party hosts Hamas and is anti-Israel and anti-American, it also wants to sabotage Israeli-Greek ties and isolate Israel politically in the region.

Whether this means that countries like Turkey, which have supported terror attacks against Israel and vowed to “liberate” Jerusalem for the Palestinians, will now have more leverage over Jerusalem, remains to be seen.

Why was the Dallas synagogue terrorist allowed into the US?

Assessment: American travelers put up with a vast amount of security theater: millions of man-hours lost each year to unpredictably long TSA lines; intrusive pat-downs; the whole take-off-your-shoes-and-belt rigamarole. Yet the vast security apparatus can’t screen out a mentally ill Muslim extremist?

Why was Malik Faisal Akram even in this country?

That’s only one of many questions surrounding the Brit’s attack on a Texas synagogue, but it’s one of the biggest.

“Because the Lord has sworn: the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.” Exodus 17:16

Malik Faisal Akram's mugshot.

As Avram’s brother told Sky News, “He’s known to police. Got a criminal record.” Nor did he have any visible means of support; Gulbar Akram also says he “was suffering from mental health issues.”

Yet the feds say he somehow got a visa and flew into JFK around New Year’s, listing a hotel on Queens Boulevard as his destination. He then made his way to Dallas, where he stayed at a homeless shelter for a week and bought a gun — “off the street,” according to President Joe Biden (who, to be fair, has been known to make stuff up).

Then he took Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker and four Congregation Beth Israel congregants hostage, demanding the release of convicted terrorist Aafia Siddiqui, who’s serving a decades-long sentence in Fort Worth and has become a cause celebre for jihadists.

Malik Faisal Akram demanded the release of convicted terrorist Aafia Siddiqui in exchange for the safety of the hostages.

Thank God the rabbi managed to lead an escape (after 10 hours), leaving the FBI free to use deadly force to bring him

Oil Spikes To Fresh 7-Year High After Key Iraq-Turkey Pipeline Explosion

Despite dollar strength today (and more worrisome ZeroCOVID actions from China), oil prices continued to rise but news after-hours that an explosion knocked out a major pipeline sparked more upside.

Little is known about the cause, but the explosion at a pipeline connecting Northern Iraq and the port of Ceyhan in the Mediterranean has taken 450kb/d of supply offline in an already very tight crude oil market.

This news follows a ballistic missile attack over the weekend, where Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen targeted oil infrastructure in the UAE.

Pipeline operator Botas said the fire has been brought under control and cooling operations were under way.

Botas said the it would reopen once the “necessary measures” had been taken, but gave no indication of timing.

Pro-Israel groups fearful that Iron Dome funding may end up blocked long-term

Assessment: Boris Zilberman, director of public policy and strategy at the CUFI Action Fund, said that the way things are in Congress at the moment, it may be risky to pin all hopes on an omnibus spending bill passing because such agreement may not be reachable …

Boris Zilberman, director of public policy and strategy at the CUFI Action Fund, said that the way things are in Congress at the moment, it may be risky to pin all hopes on an omnibus spending bill passing because such agreement may not be reachable.

With a deadline to fund the U.S. government past the temporary Continuing Resolution (CR) passed last month set to expire mid-February, pro-Israel organizations have been pushing to bring supplemental funding of Iron Dome interceptor missiles back to the forefront.

Since September, senators have tried four times to bring a standalone supplemental $1 billion Iron Dome funding bill, which was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives by an overwhelming 420-9 vote, for unanimous approval, but each time have been thwarted by the objection of Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).

“I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

Paul stated that he didn’t oppose the funding, though he is usually opposed to foreign aid; rather, he would like to see the funding offset by taking it from the $6 billion allocated to aid the recovery of Afghanistan and deposit the remainder in the U.S. Treasury.

Passing a bill through unanimous consent is a common occurrence for legislation that is not controversial and supported by both parties. It avoids the time-consuming process that requires the bill to be debated on the Senate floor for 30 hours of valuable time before it can be voted on through the regular lawmaking process in the Senate.

After months of delay on the matter, pro-Israel organizations, organizations representing Jewish denomination and Jewish communal groups, are expressing that they are losing patience over delays that threaten the security of Israel.
