Since “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23), God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem humanity. All Christians are redeemed sinners. While Jesus asks His disciples to preach the gospel and “make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:18-20), that does not mean Christians are morally superior to non-Christians.

INFLATION: Biden’s Incomprehensible Spending Sprees

PJ Media: Joe Biden has been president for 100 days. Wednesday night he called for yet more government spending, on top of the trillions he has already called for and gotten Congress to pass.

“And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.” Rev. 6:5-6

All told, Biden has called for $6,000,000,000,000 in spending during his first 100 days in office, according to the New York Times. That’s six trillion dollars — a 6 with 12 zeroes following it like a flock of baby ducks.

Except baby ducks are cute and harmless. All those zeroes are not.

Divided by 100, Biden has asked America to spend $60,000,000,000 over and above ordinary spending — per day, over the course of his first 100 days. He’s showing no signs of slowing down and has no realistic plans to pay for it.

There’s simply no way for the media, let alone the average American citizen, to keep up with all this spending. It’s reached a level surpassing what’s comprehensible.

Broadly speaking, the COVID relief bills weren’t mostly about providing relief to Americans suffering from COVID lockdowns. The infrastructure bill isn’t mostly about repairing or building new infrastructure. We’re winding down wars (at least, until the consequences of that may force us to wind them right back up, as happened at the end of the Obama administration). Official: Abbas postpones PA elections

Arutz Sheva: Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas officially announced on Thursday night that the Palestinian elections would be postponed.

“We have decided to postpone the election until the participation of our people in Jerusalem is guaranteed,” Abbas said in a speech that aired on PA TV.

“They shall be called the Territory of Wickedness,
And the people against whom the Lord will have indignation forever.” Malachi 1:4

Earlier on Thursday, Abbas spoke at a meeting of PA factions in Ramallah and said that Israel had refused to allow Arab residents of eastern Jerusalem to vote in the elections.

He added that the elections would be held “within a week” of Israel’s acquiescence to the PA holding the vote in eastern Jerusalem.

“This isn’t a technical issue, but rather an fundamental political one,” he said.

Abbas recently issued a decree ordering general elections in PA-assigned territories.

The decree stated that legislative elections would take place on May 22. A “presidential” election was to have taken place on July 31. The decree set a deadline of August 31 for establishing the Palestinian National Council.

Breitbart: Police in London arrested a Christian street preacher for allegedly causing “alarm and distress” to pedestrians for citing allegedly “homophobic” verses from Genesis.

On Friday, Pastor John Sherwood was preaching alongside Pastor Peter Simpson of the Penn Free Methodist Church outside the Uxbridge Underground Station — in Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s own constituency.

Writing in the Conservative Woman on Tuesday, Pastor Simpson said that Sherwood preached on the final verses of Genisis 1, saying: “God’s design in creating mankind was to set human beings in families, headed by a father and a mother, not by two fathers or by two mothers. The distinction within mankind of just two genders, male and female, made in the image of God, constitutes the essence of God’s created order.”

Simpson said that the police informed them that three complaints were made in response to the street sermon.

He said that a police officer warned that he and Sherwood should avoid making any “homophobic statements” and that there is “no freedom to make statements which offend people”.

The police ultimately dragged Sherwood off his step stool and forcibly handcuffed the septuagenarian preacher. Read More

Follow the Science? Not when it comes to transgenderism

LifeSite News: One mantra that emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic is “follow the science,” which suggests that health and social policy should be guided by scientific research. If this principle applies to a virus threat, why doesn’t it guide policy on gender identity disorder (GID)?

On March 24, the Senate confirmed President Biden’s choice for assistant secretary of health — a male pediatrician who claims to be a woman: “Rachel” Levine. Lambda Legal, which promotes LGBTQ civil rights, praised Levine’s confirmation as marking “the return of science, competence, and empathy to one of the most important institutions in our government.”

Touting Levine’s confirmation as “the return to science [and] competence,” however, is a questionable assertion. Yes, an article posted by American Family Physician claims that “gender-affirming hormone therapy … is generally safe” and that “those who receive treatment generally report improved quality of life and self-esteem.”

But the same article admits that “transgender patients typically have high rates of mental health diagnoses” and that primary care physicians should “consider routine screening” for a number of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and suicidal proclivity. On September 6, 2007, Israeli fighter-bombers destroyed a mysterious installation near the Euphrates River in the Deir-ez-Zor region. The strike incurred curiously little response from Damascus. A cyber-attack reportedly pre-empted a defensive Syrian military mobilization, and even the diplomatic outcry was muted. No other Arab governments commented on the attack, and even the Israelis did not acknowledge the operation for quite some time.

Destroying the facility was not regarded as a slam-dunk decision, either in Israel or the United States. Anxiety over the strength of the intelligence in the wake of the Iraq debacle stayed the hand of the latter, while concern about international blowback, not to mention a Syrian military response, worried the former. What if cooler heads had carried the day, and Israel had never undertaken the strike?
