Israel 365: A report submitted to the United Nations Security Council revealed that North Korea and Iran have resumed cooperating on their missile programs which include developing nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missiles.

“This resumed cooperation is said to have included the transfer of critical parts, with the most recent shipment associated with this relationship taking place in 2020,” the report stated, noting that North Korea “maintained and developed its nuclear and ballistic missile programs, in violation of UN Security Council resolutions.”

“It produced fissile material, maintained nuclear facilities, and upgraded its ballistic missile infrastructure. It continued to seek material and technology for these programs from overseas,” the expert report states.

Fissile material is an essential ingredient for producing nuclear weapons.

“It displayed new short-range, medium-range, submarine-launched and intercontinental ballistic missile systems at military parades,” the experts said. Read More

The “Party of Science” Now Wants Halt to Research on “Transgender” People

TNA: As with a suspicious halt of a legal investigation, it’s generally true that those stifling scientific inquiry fear what such may uncover. This appears the case with Sexual Devolution (LGBT) activists who are now trying to ban research into so-called transgenderism.

It wasn’t always this way. Sexual devolutionaries once encouraged such science in the belief that uncovering an innate basis for “gender dysphoria” (GD) — the sense that you’re “stuck” in the body of the wrong sex — would legitimize the Made-up Sexual Status (MUSS or “transgender”) agenda. The idea is that “you can’t question how someone was born.” (Actually, you can. Asserting otherwise is the dangerous mistake of biological determinism.)

While researching GD might “greatly benefit medical personnel in helping effectively treat transgender patients,” as the Federalist puts it, sexual devolutionaries have now become the three “hear, see, and speak no evil” monkeys on the issue. Harris Takes Customary Role Of President by Phoning Several Heads of State

Epoch Times: Vice President Kamala Harris has recently called multiple heads of state, a task that is normally done by the president.

Harris spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday, the White House said.

Harris “expressed her commitment to strengthening bilateral ties between the United States and France and to revitalizing the transatlantic alliance,” a readout said. She and Macron “agreed on the need for close bilateral and multilateral cooperation to address COVID-19, climate change, and support democracy at home and around the world.”

“They also discussed numerous regional challenges, including those in the Middle East and Africa, and the need to confront them together,” according to the readout.

There was no mention of President Joe Biden.

Is the Phrase “State of Palestine” Catching On?

BESA: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: In 2013, Mahmoud Abbas proclaimed that henceforth the Palestinian Authority would be called the “State of Palestine.” It is worth noting how successful he has been in popularizing the phrase, and among whom.

In January 2013, Mahmoud Abbas issued with great fanfare a presidential decree that the Palestinian Authority (PA) would henceforth appear on all official letterhead, in all ministries, and on all signs (for example, at schools) as the “State of Palestine.” The announcement came in the wake of a decision by the UN Assembly to upgrade the PA and the PLO to non-member observer status. The point was clear: Palestine is going to become a state whether Israel wants it or not.

This was not, of course, the first time Israel and the PA had been at loggerheads over the naming of Palestinian institutions following the signing of the Oslo Accords in the 1990s.

According to those agreements, the entity established was to be called the “Palestinian Authority.” All documents related to the Oslo process adhered strictly to that name. Yet no sooner had Yasser Arafat arrived in Gaza in July 1994 to head the PA than he renamed it the Palestinian National Authority, in accordance with the PLO’s 1974 pre-Oslo “phased strategy” that called on the PLO to establish a national authority in any area “liberated” through “armed struggle” (i.e., terrorism) until the “complete liberation of Palestine” (i.e., Israel’s destruction).

That is exactly why Israel insisted that the word “national” be omitted: to indicate that the establishment of the PA reflected a sharp break from an environment of violence and terrorism to one of peaceful negotiations. Read More

Kraft Heinz, Conagra Will Start Passing On Soaring Food Costs To Consumers

Zero Hedge: Late last year we noted that SocGen’s Albert Edwards warning readers that it could be time to start “panicking” about soaring food prices. 

Edwards’ research said, “keep a very close eye as to whether we see a repeat of the 2010/11 surge in food prices” because “on the 10th anniversary of the start of the Arab Spring, and with poverty having already been made much worse by the pandemic, another food price bubble could well be the straw to break the very angry camel’s back.”

While it’s not quite the spring of 2021 just yet, there are indications that soaring food costs are about to get passed on to consumers – this is terrible news for working-poor folks who are already suffering from housing and food insecurities.

According to Reuters, Kraft Heinz Co and Conagra Brands Inc warned Tuesday that price increases of wheat, sugar, and other commodities are becoming more expensive due to elevated demand. Read More

Pelosi Pushes Ahead With ‘9/11-Type Commission’ to Fight Domestic ‘War on Terror’

PJ Media: On Monday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) sent her fellow Democrats a “Dear Colleague” letter focused on “security, security, security.” She announced that Congress will establish a “9/11-type Commission” to investigate the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, specifically describing the riot as a “domestic terrorist attack.” This announcement will only fuel the Democrats’ push toward launching a domestic “War on Terror” that will likely target conservatives.

 

“It is clear from the findings and from the impeachment trial that we must get to the truth of how this happened,” Pelosi said of an investigation conducted by retired Lt. Gen. Russel L. Honoré into the Capitol riot.

“To protect our security, our security, our security, our next step will be to establish an outside, independent 9/11-type Commission to ‘investigate and report on the facts and causes relating to the January 6, 2021 domestic terrorist attack upon the United States Capitol Complex… and relating to the interference with the peaceful transfer of power, including facts and causes relating to the preparedness and response of the United States Capitol Police and other Federal, State, and local law enforcement in the National Capitol Region,’” Pelosi announced.
