Is Palestine a State?
Jewish Press: The highly politicized International Criminal Court just declared statehood for Palestinians. They did it without any negotiation with Israel, without any compromise, and without any recognized boundaries.
They also did it without any legal authority, because the Rome Statute, which established the International Criminal Court, makes no provision for this criminal court to recognize new states. Moreover, neither Israel nor the United States ratified that treaty, so the decisions of the International Criminal Court are not binding on them. Nor is this divided decision binding on signatories, since it exceeds the authority of the so-called court.
I say “so-called” court, because the International Criminal Court is not a real court in any meaningful sense of that word.

The United States should reject the International Criminal Court decision not only because it is unfair to its ally Israel, but because it sets a dangerous precedent that could be applied against the United States and other nations that operate under the rule of law. Read More
IMF Wants To Use “Digital Footprint Of Customers’ Online Activities” To Assess Creditworthiness
Zero Hedge: For years, researchers have warned of a system in which the government controls every aspect of its citizens’ lives. Every citizen would have to rely entirely on the government to survive in this system. This system has been openly discussed for many years by the “ruling class.” Aka: those who have been allotted social credit (or not) and power based upon their views and opinions.
The system has already begun in China and is now spreading globally
In a recent post, “What is Really New In Fintech,” on the IMF blog (International Monetary Fund), authors Arnoud Boot, Peter Hoffmann, Luc Laeven, and Lev Ratnovski suggest “rapid technological change” in the financial industry. Many social media and other online platforms are now creating and accepting payments. This revolutionary change in the banking world could change the face of finance forever.
As a result of this rapid change, the authors bring up the following questions:
- What are the transformative aspects of recent financial innovation that can uproot finance as we know it?
- Which new policy challenges will the transformation of finance bring?
To answer these questions, the authors wrote:
Recent IMF and ECB staff research distinguishes two areas of financial innovation. One is information: new tools to collect and analyse data on customers, for example for determining creditworthiness. Another is communication: new approaches to customer relationships and the distribution of financial products. We argue that

Deep State Officials Helped Planned Parenthood Illegally Get $80M in COVID Funds
LifeSite News: The Small Business Administration hid communications with Planned Parenthood regarding COVID-19 loans that Republicans say were illegal, emails obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation show.
The SBA released heavily redacted emails between the agency, lenders and Planned Parenthood affiliates in response to a Freedom of Information Act request the DCNF filed in May 2020. GOP lawmakers had previously demanded an investigation into $80 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, saying they were obtained illegally.
The SBA has repeatedly declined to comment on the Republicans’ claims.
“Americans have a right to know why their tax dollars went to Planned Parenthood’s abortion clinics instead of struggling small businesses, non-profits, and churches,” Sen. Tom Cotton told the DCNF. Read More
Trump’s second impeachment trial begins in Senate
New York Post: The second impeachment trial against former President Donald Trump got underway in the Senate Tuesday.
The opening of the trial will begin with four hours of arguments from Trump’s lawyers and the House managers over its constitutionality and then stretch over the rest of the week with a verdict expected possibly early next week.

Democratic House impeachment managers will start Wednesday to press their case against the former president alleging “incitement of insurrection,” over the Capitol riot on Jan. 6
Trump’s legal team is set to argue that the proceeding is unconstitutional because he is no longer in office, and that the former president never deviated from standard political speech in his remarks preceding the incident. Read More
Trump Defeats Castro Communists: Cuba Set to Open Up Its Economy
PJ Media:
Well, I did not see this coming. The BBC reports that Cuba is about to open up most of its economy to private ownership.
Cuba!
Cuba has announced it will allow private businesses to operate in most sectors, in what is a major reform to its state-controlled economy.
“…major reform…”? It’s the communists admitting defeat. Because:
The communist country’s economy has been hit hard by the pandemic and US sanctions introduced by the Trump administration.
Last year its economy shrank by 11% – its worst decline in almost three decades – and Cubans have been facing shortages of basic goods.

New report exposes Hezbollah missile sites near Beirut charity-run schools
JNS: A new report has shed light on Hezbollah’s systematic use of civilian infrastructure to shield its missile storage and launch sites in Lebanon.

The report, produced by the Israeli Alma Research and Education Center for geopolitical affairs, highlights a social charity called the Islamic Shiite Waqf Committee in Burj al Barajneh foundation that has been cynically used by Hezbollah to store an array of medium-range Fateh 110 missiles in close proximity to sites such a high school in Beirut.

“This is a continuation of a report that we published in July 2020, which exposed 28 Fateh 110 missile sites in greater Beirut,” Maj. (res.) Tal Beeri, who directs Alma’s research department, told JNS.
“Following our publication, we continued extracting data from the information collected while discovering and uncovering new information. Within this framework, we acted to uncover the identities of the landowners and building owners [where] the Hezbollah sites are located,” he stated. Read More
Biden Justice Dept. Pick Opposed Enforcing Civil Rights Laws Against Blacks
Free Beacon: The incoming Justice Department civil rights chief has a history of opposing civil rights prosecutions of black defendants, arguing against bringing a complaint against an African-American Democratic leader who discriminated against white voters.
As an NAACP lawyer, Kristen Clarke lambasted the Justice Department for bringing a complaint against an African-American party boss in Mississippi who worked to suppress white votes, according to a federal probe.

On a separate occasion, a federal oversight commission investigated claims that Clarke worked with allies at the Justice Department to quash the prosecution of the Black Panthers who menaced voters outside a Philadelphia precinct in 2008.
Clarke’s nomination to an influential Justice Department post will test the Biden administration’s commitment to “equity-based” policy making, which purportedly promotes racial justice by giving special attention to marginalized groups. Clarke’s professional history suggests a staunchly ideological approach to civil rights enforcement where touchstone civil rights laws are applied to advantage some demographic groups but not others. Blinken stops short of recognizing Golan Heights as Israeli territory
Arutz Sheva: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday stopped short of endorsing the Trump administration’s recognition of the Golan Heights as part of Israel.
“As a practical matter, the control of the Golan in that situation I think remains of real importance to Israel’s security,” Blinken told CNN in an interview.
“Legal questions are something else and over time if the situation were to change in Syria, that’s something we look at, but we are nowhere near that,” he added.
Blinken pointed out that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government as well as the presence of militia groups backed by Iran pose a “significant security threat” to Israel.
Former President Donald Trump announced in March of 2019 that the US would recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

This past November, then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo became the first US Secretary of State to visit the Golan Heights.

CNBC: House Democrats unveiled their plan to send up to $3,600 per child to families, a vast but temporary expansion of relief to households that experts have projected could lift millions from poverty.

- The plan provides for $3,600 over a year for children under 6 and $3,000 for children under 18, to be distributed in monthly installments by the IRS, starting in July.
