Assessment: The State Department can’t just say off the record to Congressional staff that they’ve been lying from day one about the number of American citizens they stranded in Afghanistan.  Rep. Darrell Issa 

At least 363 Americans are still trapped in Afghanistan — far above the administration’s initial estimate — weeks after the Biden administration’s botched withdrawal from the jihadist-controlled country, according to the State Department.

This figure is far greater than the estimate offered by Secretary of State Antony Blinken last month, insisting that roughly 100 Americans were left in the country.

“For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known” Like 12:2

“We believe the number of those who have American citizenship, many of them dual-nationals, who remain in Afghanistan is somewhere around a hundred,” he told reporters in Qatar in September, claiming the department to be in “direct contact with virtually all of them.”

“We are working around the clock to help U.S. citizens, to help lawful permanent residents, to help at-risk Afghans to whom we have a special commitment depart Afghanistan if they so choose,” he said at the time, claiming that they had “successfully done that already.”

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) has continually doubted the figure the Biden Administration has offered and remains a key figure in helping trapped Americans escape, bringing attention to their plight. In early September, he estimated the true number of Americans trapped as closer to 500.

Assessment: “But I am an American and I am begging you to get us home. I know you will do the right thing, Sir” …

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) on Thursday released a letter to President Joe Biden penned by an American citizen from San Diego, California, who is still trapped in Afghanistan alongside his wife.

“I am pleading with you again as a fellow proud American and as a husband to help my wife and I get home from Afghanistan,” the American citizen wrote in the October 15 letter to President Biden, weeks after the Biden administration’s botched withdrawal from the Taliban-controlled country.

“Woe to those who enact evil statutes
And to those who constantly record unjust decisions” Isaiah 10:1

The American explained that he and his wife risked their lives to get through Taliban checkpoints, only to discover that the October 4 flight was canceled “because passengers did not have visas for UAE, where the flight was to land.” Another flight left on October 11, but the American said they never received a call to go to the airport.

“The third scheduled for 13 October was apparently cancelled. We learned details of the latter flights from our Congressman, the Hon. Darrell Issa, who flew to Doha to meet us, and not from the DOS,” he continued, explaining these were not their only attempts made since August. Read More @ Breitbart HERE

Assessment: Daily attacks and even frequent riots by Arabs in and around the Old City of Jerusalem have largely gone under-reported in the media …

Watching the news shows broadcasted by Israel’s three major TV stations one could easily come to the conclusion that internal political affairs or the many cases of crime are the most important issues to be reported on these days.

And, when the very tense and explosive situation in Jerusalem is addressed there is hardly any mentioning of the root causes of the escalating violence by Palestinian Arabs.

Maor Tzemach, chairman of the NGO Your Jerusalem. this week harshly criticized the Israeli media for their hush-hush reporting on Arab violence in Jerusalem. He claimed the media were wary to report the harsh reality on the ground because they don’t want to embarrass the current government that has an Arab Islamist party and a far-left party in its ranks.

Let’s now take a look at this harsh reality on the ground and at what is driving the current riots near Jerusalem’s Old City.

Every single day in the last period, Israeli police and officers of the Border Police had to deal with hundreds of rioting Arabs who come to the so-called Damascus Gate (Sha’ar Shechem in Hebrew) to throw stones and Molotov cocktails at Israeli Jews and police officers.

On Wednesday, for example, the police arrested 22 Arabs and had to fire warning shots in the air in an effort to disperse the violent crowds.

The rioters threw stones at passing Israeli cars while a bus was also stoned shattering some of its windows. Read More @ Arutz Sheva HERE
