Israel Defense Forces Strike Damascus Syria, As Netanyahu Struggles To Remain
Zero Hedge: Israel’s political situation is proving quite precarious for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. As a result, he’s struggling to prove that he’s required at the lead, since Tel Aviv’s enemies will allegedly flourish if Netanyahu is not there.
“The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.” Isaiah 17:1 KJV
Late on June 8th, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck various targets in southern and central Syria. According to Syrian media, air defense systems managed to shoot down some Israeli missiles which were fired from the direction of Lebanon.
Not all missiles were shot down and some caused damage. The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights claimed that violent explosions were felt in Damascus and around the city, followed by Israeli strikes on military positions of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA). It also claimed that 10 pro-government fighters were killed in the strikes.
Air strikes also took place in the south of Homs province and in the border zone between Homs and Tartus.
This is the first strike attributed to Israel in nearly a month, and it coincides with Netanyahu’s struggle to remain in seat. Read More
Inflation Nation: Consumer Prices Jump 5%, Fastest Pace Since 2008
Breitbart: The Consumer Price Index rose five percent compared with a year ago, the Department of Labor said Thursday. On a monthly basis, the CPI rose a hotter than expected 0.6 percent.
Economists had expected the Labor Department to report that consumer prices rose 0.5 percent in May compared with April. The consensus forecast was for a 4.7 percent gain when measured against May of 2020, which would have been the hottest reading since skyrocketing energy prices pushed up the index in the fall of 2008.
The reading for core inflation, which strips out volatile food and energy prices, was expected to rise 3.5 percent compared with a year ago. That would have been the strongest annual increase in 28 years. On a monthly basis, economists were expecting a 0.5 percent gain.
In Thursday’s release, the government said core inflation rose 0.7 percent. On an annual basis, core inflation jumped 3.8 percent. This was the hottest reading since June 1992.
The index for used cars and trucks continued to rise sharply, jumping 7.3 percent in May. Compared with a year ago, used car prices are up 29.7 percent.
Energy prices were flat, with a drop in gasoline prices offsetting increases in electricity and natural gas. Food prices rose 0.4 percent. The index for airfares rose 7 percent compared with April and is up 24.1 percent compared with a year ago.
Federal Reserve officials and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen have said they expect this rapid rise in the cost of living to taper off later this year. Read More
Only 12 Dems Condemn Ilhan Omar For Comparing U.S., Israel To Islamic Terrorists
Daily Wire: House Democrats released a statement on Wednesday night condemning Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-NY) for comparing the United States and Israel to an Islamic terrorist organization. Only 12 Democrats condemned Omar, which is less than 6% of the total number of Democrats in the House of Representatives.
“Because ]the Lord has sworn: the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.” Exodus 17:16
“We must have the same level of accountability and justice for all victims of crimes against humanity,” Omar wrote on Twitter earlier this week. “We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban.” Read More

UK prime minister set to ‘lead the way’ with vaccine passport scheme at upcoming G7 summit
LifeSite News: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has signaled that the G7 summit, to be held in Cornwall on the southwestern coast of England from June 11 to June 13, will be a chance for the U.K. to “lead the way” in a worldwide effort to implement an internationally recognized COVID vaccine passport scheme.
“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes,
But he who heeds counsel is wise. Proverbs 12:15
The summit, supposedly focused on uniting “leading democracies to help the world fight, and then build back better from coronavirus and create a greener, more prosperous future,” will also be used to “agree a common approach to verifying and sharing COVID Health Certificates across borders,” the Mail on Sunday reported.
The alleged benefit of an internationally recognized system of vaccine verification is to aid the beleaguered airline industry, hard-hit by lockdown restrictions and travel bans in countless countries across the globe. A summit document seen by the Mail on Sunday alleged that without such a system in place, the industry will become “paralysed” by bureaucracy, adding that an international system to “’verify that people have accurate tests or genuine vaccines” will overcome this apparently severe obstacle.
Johnson issued a call ahead of the summit, asking all G7 attendees “to make concrete commitments to vaccinate the entire world against coronavirus by the end of 2022,” according to a June 6 press release.
‘Bennett is evil – there will be a war against him’
Haredi political leaders declare incoming PM Naftali Bennett ‘a Reform Jew’, warn his government will destroy Israel as a Jewish state.
Arutz Sheva: Haredi lawmakers railed against Yamina chairman and Prime Minister-designate Naftali Bennett Tuesday afternoon, claiming the new government will threaten Israel’s future as a Jewish state.
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” Psalm 122:6
Shas chief and Interior Minister Aryeh Deri accused the incoming national unity government of planning to “uproot religion” from the country.
“The Jewish state is in danger,” said Deri. “It will uproot religion from the country. The new government is going to destroy the Jewish character and identity of the country which has allowed us to live together.”
United Torah Judaism chief and chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee Moshe Gafni demanded the Religious Zionist public distance itself from Yamina and Naftali Bennett. Read More
Deutsche Bank Issues a Terrifying Warning for America Under Biden
PJ Media: On Monday, Deutsche Bank released a report that further confirms a portent of doom for the U.S. economy and Democrats led by President Joe Biden. While many economists and policymakers claim that the recent uptick in inflation is temporary, Deutsche Bank warned that Biden’s profligate spending, the Federal Reserve’s low interest rates, and global economic trends threaten to unleash persistent inflation, which amounts to an insidious tax on the poor and middle class that benefits the government.
“The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.” Proverbs 22:7 ESV
“We worry that the painful lessons of an inflationary past are being ignored by central bankers, either because they really believe that this time is different, or they have bought into a new paradigm that low interest rates are here to stay, or they are protecting their institutions by not trying to hold back a political steam roller,” Folkerts-Landau added. “Whatever the reason, we expect inflationary pressures to re-emerge as the Fed continues with its policy of patience and its stated belief that current pressures are largely transitory.”
The authors warned that “neglecting inflation leaves global economies sitting on a time bomb.” They noted similarities between the 1970s and today. Read More
Biden Has His Eyes on Guantanamo Detention Facility
PJ Media: Joe Biden is taking a stealthy “under the radar” approach to closing the Guantanamo military detention center in Cuba, according to NBC News. The facility still houses about 40 terrorists, including the 9/11 plotters.
The president would like to accomplish the task before the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks.
“Then the Lord raised up an adversary to Solomon, Hadad the Edomite; he was of the royal line in Edom.” 1 Kings 11:14
The president has not informed Congress of his intent to close the detention facility—and for good reason. Barack Obama entered office promising to close Gitmo within a year. When he announced he was going to transfer the prisoners to U.S. mainland prisons, the bipartisan outcry in Congress forced him to shelve those plans. Both parties refused to fund the transfer and that’s where the matter has stood since 2016.
Biden is taking the stealthy approach because he doesn’t want to distract from his radical agenda. A former senior administration official said, “They don’t want it to become a dominant issue that blows up.” He added, “They don’t want it to become a lightning rod. They want it to be methodical, orderly.”
The administration hopes to transfer a handful of the remaining terrorism suspects to foreign countries, the people familiar with the discussions said, and then persuade Congress to permit the transfer of the rest — including 9/11 suspects — to detention on the U.S. mainland. Biden hopes to close the facility by the end of his first term, the people familiar with the discussions said.
But even though just 40 people are left at Gitmo, the Biden administration faces many of the same obstacles that doomed President Barack Obama’s much more public effort to close it a dozen years ago.
One Bank Goes Apocalyptic: Inflation Is About To Explode “Leaving Global Economies Sitting On A Time Bomb”
The Fed Says Inflation Is Transitory, It Has A Vested Interest To Lie
When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.” Rev. 6:5-6
Zero Hedge: The Fed has been so wrong, in so many ways, for so long, we need to ask some pointed questions.
Q&A on Fed Transitory Statements
Q: If inflation picks up will the Fed say I made a mistake or will they double down?
Q: If the Fed doubles down will they admit their mistake or will they say let’s overshoot to make up for past inflation?
Q: If the overshoot continues, will the Fed say dammit wrong again or will they say better 10% inflation than 10% unemployment
I believe we know the answers to those questions, paraphrased from the Eurointelligence post Should we worry about inflation?
Eurointelligence authors wrote from the perspective of the ECB.
They did not know if inflation will rise or by how much. Nor does anyone else given there are too many variables.

The debunking of the ‘apartheid state’ lie
Mansour Abbas, head of the Arab Ra’am Party
JNS: While addressing Congress last month, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and fellow “Squad” members denounced Israel not only for its efforts to defend its people against Hamas terrorism, but also labeled it an “apartheid state.”
“In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates.” Genesis 15:18 KJV
Since then, this fiction that seeks to characterize the only democracy in the Middle East as morally equivalent to apartheid-era South Africa has gained traction on the left and in the media. It was the centerpiece of leftist NGO Human Rights Watch’s anti-Zionist diatribe and was echoed by media influencers like HBO’s John Oliver and New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof.
The false analogy that demonizes and mischaracterizes life in Israel is a propaganda talking point rather than a serious argument. However, the fact that it is divorced from reality hasn’t stopped those who promote it from being able to make it part of mainstream discourse about Israel.
When Israel’s new government takes office—barring any last-minute changes, it is set to be voted in this Sunday—the “apartheid state” lie will be seen to be even more of a canard than before. By including the United Arab List—popularly known by its Hebrew acronym Ra’am—headed by Mansour Abbas in its ranks as a member, the idea that the Jewish state treats its non-Jewish minorities by a different legal standard will be exposed as a sad joke.
