Jordanian FM blames Netanyahu for diplomatic incident

Arutz Sheva: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Friday blasted Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu following the diplomatic incident between Jordan and Israel earlier this week.

On Wednesday, Jordanian Crown Prince Hussein canceled his visit to the Temple Mount following an incident at the Allenby Crossing.

The visit had been closely coordinated between Jordanian and Israeli officials, but when the Crown Prince arrived with his entourage, it became clear that the Jordanians had not complied with the earlier agreement and had brought significantly greater security.

Fertilizer Prices Rocket Higher As Farmers Become ‘Bullish’ On Upcoming Growing Season

Zero Hedge: US wholesale fertilizer prices have been on a tear since December 2020 due to rising commodity prices, tight supplies, and strong demand.

Last fall, Rabobank forecasted that phosphate and other fertilizer prices would remain elevated in the first half of 2021 because commodity prices were accelerating. Now Rabobank reports phosphate prices have nearly doubled.

“With the increase in commodity prices, there has been an increased demand for fertilizers since last fall. This increased demand, coupled with reduced fertilizer imports is – according to forecasters – predicted to keep fertilizer prices elevated through fall and potentially into next year,” Jamie Patton, senior Outreach Specialist for the UW-Nutrient and Pest Management Program, told Wisconsin State Farmer.

PJ Media: Jury selection in the trial of the former police officer accused of killing George Floyd started Monday with protesters, speeches, and his sister noisily marching outside the courthouse while calling for justice.

Some of the people being considered for jury service in the trial of Derek Chauvin said that they were worried for their lives and the safety of their families if selected to serve on the jury.

US Producer Prices Soar Most Since 2018 As Gas Prices Spike

Zero Hedge: Forty percent of the February increase in the index for final demand goods is attributable to gasoline prices, which jumped 13.1 percent. The indexes for diesel fuel, beef and veal, basic organic chemicals, residential electric power, and chicken eggs also moved higher. Conversely, prices for fresh and dry vegetables fell 16.7 percent.

Netanyahu: Crown Prince of UAE is going to invest in Israel

Arutz Sheva: The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the deputy commander of the United Arab Emirates’ military pledged to invest billions of dollars in Israel’s economy, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Friday morning.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Haifa Friday morning, Netanyahu discussed a telephone call with Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the de facto ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

According to Netanyahu, the two spoke Thursday about investments from the UAE in Israel, with the Crown Prince pledging to invest some $3 billion (10 billion shekels) in the Jewish state.

Feinstein Promises Assault Weapons Ban Hours After House Passes Background Check Bill

Zero Hedge: Hours after the House passed a bill allowing for unlimited delays for FBI background checks, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer revived a House-passed bill requiring background checks for private firearms sales, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) announced that she would soon ‘work with her Senate colleagues’ to pass other reforms – including an assault weapons ban – in the coming weeks.

It’s unclear which features on scary black rifles that are functionally equivalent to any hunting rifle will be off-limits.

H.R.8 is the latest version of Democrats’ so-called “Universal Background Checks.”

Currently, any gun purchased at a retail store, or online, must go through a background check and involved a licensed firearms dealer (FFL). H.R.8 requires background checks for private sales.

“The idea that this is going to make us safer is laughable,” said Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL). “Criminals looking to get their hands on firearms to use in crimes are not going to submit to background checks. Only law-abiding citizens will follow the law. Hyatt Hotels CEO sees ‘clear path to recovery’ after Covid rocked industry

CNBC: “We see that there’s a clear path to recovery from here,” Hyatt Hotels CEO Mark Hoplamazian told CNBC.

  • Hoplamazian said he’s seeing occupancy rates industrywide improving from a low of 22% in April of last year, coming in at just shy of 50% in February.
  • He said he is optimistic that travel is positioned to make a full recovery as Covid-19 vaccines become more widely available to the public.

Israeli Prime Minister’s Historic Visit to UAE Suspended Over Jordanian Airspace

Jerusalem Online: The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that his historic planned visit to the United Arab Emirates has been canceled because Jordan delayed approving his flight path over the Hashemite kingdom.

“Netanyahu’s visit was postponed due to difficulties in coordinating his flight in Jordanian airspace. These difficulties apparently stemmed from the cancellation of the Jordanian Crown Prince’s visit to the Temple Mount due to a disagreement over security procedures at the site,” the PMO said in a statement Thursday afternoon.

“Jordan recently announced that it would allow the prime minister’s flight to use Jordanian airspace but since the announcement was received late, the prime minister and Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed agreed to coordinate on another date for the prime minister’s visit,” the statement said.

 

Biden Says if Americans ‘Do Their Part,’ and Get Vaccinated, They May Be Able to Have Cookouts and BBQs on the 4th of July

American  Greatness: In his first prime time speech from the White House Thursday night, Joe Biden announced magnanimously that Americans will be allowed to gather with their families and even their friends in small groups to have cookouts and barbecues on Independence Day if we all do our part and get vaccinated. Mr. Biden also said citizens will be issued “additional guidance” regarding what they can do at work, in church, and with their friends.

Biden began his speech by attacking the Trump administration with a series of boldfaced lies: “A year ago, we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked. Denials for days, weeks, then months. That led to more deaths, more infections, more stress, and more loneliness,” he said. In fact, President Trump immediately shut down travel first with China, and then with Europe, which Biden slammed as “xenophobic.” Trump also quickly assembled a Coronavirus task group that provided guidelines to stop the spread. In mid-March, the task force issued their “15 Days to Slow the Spread” guidelines, and Trump declared a National Emergency, freeing up more than $42 billion in resources for states and localities. He left it to the states to implement their guidelines and mandates.

Biden also gave voice to the corrupt Democrat/media conspiracy theory that the recent spate of attacks on Asians are Donald Trump’s fault because he criticized communist China for the spread of  Covid-19. 

Biden said the “vicious hate crimes against Asian Americans” are due to them being “scapegoated.

In reality, the vast majority of these crimes have been committed by black career criminals, and black on Asian violence has been a “dirty little secret” in many cities for years.

Without mentioning President Trump’s hard work in getting several vaccines to market in record time, Biden went on to take full credit for reaching the goal of 100 million shots in his first 60 days in office. Read More
