Breitbart: Alleged Boulder gunman Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa passed a background check for his AR-15 variant firearm and purchased it at retail.

In other words, he complied with the very gun control the left assures us will make our country safe.

Breitbart News reported that Alissa opened fire in a Boulder grocery store Monday, killing ten people, including officer Eric Talley, a 10-year veteran of the Boulder Police Department.

Democrat calls for background check gun control were near-immediate, including President Biden’s call for H.R. 8–universal background check legislation–to be passed by the Senate.

Breitbart News pointed out that Colorado already has universal background checks, and has had them since 2013. In other words, every gun sale in Colorado, retail or private, requires a background check to be performed.

On Friday, Reuters explained that Alissa bought a Ruger AR-15 variant six days before carrying out the attack.

New York Post: New photos reveal several cheat sheets used by President Joe Biden during his Thursday press conference — including one with the headshots and names of reporters he planned to call on.

The president also used notes to assist with facts about US infrastructure, a policy area Biden is focusing on during his first months in the White House.

“The United States now ranks 13th globally in infrastructure quality — down from 5th place in 2002,” read one bullet point.

• He said China wouldn’t overtake the U.S. in clout under his watch. He sees “stiff competition” but does not want unnecessary confrontation. He said the U.S. needs to do more to invest in technology and medical breakthroughs to keep pace with China. He said President Xi Jinping “doesn’t have a democratic, with a small d, bone in his body.”
• He doubled his vaccination goal, saying he predicts they’ll administer 200 million shots under his presidency by the end of his first 100 days. He is already on this pace.
• Border immigration dominated the press conference. He said he is speaking with Mexico’s president about whether the country will accept more families who try and cross into the U.S. He also said he would not block unaccompanied children from coming, but may ship them back home to their parents.
• He warned of a response to missile tests by North Korea, pledged to rebuild alliances.
• Admitted it’s unlikely that U.S. troops will fully leave Afghanistan before May 1 but that he doesn’t think they’ll still be there by 2022.

There are 33 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Roughly 450 million adults live in the region. Gallup asked them if they would like to move to another country permanently if they could.

Gallup then asked them where they would like to move. Of those who want to leave their country permanently, 35% — or 42 million — said they want to go to the United States.
