Leftists Call For Radical Legislation After Warnock Projected Win: End Filibuster, Pack The Courts

Democrats and leftists immediately called for radical legislative action to be taken to ram through the entire agenda of Democrat Joe Biden following Reverend Raphael Warnock’s projected victory over Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R) in Georgia’s runoff election.

Democrats have not yet officially gained control of the Senate because the other Georgia runoff race, Democrat Jon Ossoff vs. Sen. David Perdue (R), has not yet been called, although it is trending in a positive direction for Ossoff.

The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board warned last week that if Republicans lost control of the Senate it would effectively end the prospect of any meaningful oversight over Biden, including the scandal involving his son, who is under federal criminal investigation over his taxes and foreign business dealings. Having lost control of the Senate Committees, Republicans would also lose the ability to stop any of Biden’s nominees.

The Journal added:

Some of our friends think Democrats couldn’t blow up the 60-vote legislative filibuster rule with a mere 50 votes. Their confidence hangs on West Virginia’s Joe Manchin, who says he supports the filibuster. But imagine the political and media pressure on Mr. Manchin if Republicans use the filibuster to block Joe Biden’s agenda. He’s always been a loyal party man when it really matters.

If the filibuster stays, Mr. Biden will need to compromise to get GOP votes for an infrastructure bill, new ObamaCare subsidies or repealing Section 230 on tech liability. A public option on health care is probably out of reach, as would be much of his climate agenda.

But if the filibuster goes, so do bipartisan restraints

Stocks Surge On Expectations Dems Will Unleash Imminent Stimulus Tsunami

After a brief slump overnight, stocks are surging, lead by reflation-friendly small caps which have hit another record, although with the Dow Jones now also at all time highs even the duration-sensitive Nasdaq is in the green.

While there is no catalyst to explain the reversal, one argument making the trading desk rounds is the realization that much more stimulus is coming, and very soon, as the following Bloomberg headline reveals:

  • DEMOCRATIC SEN. WYDEN EXPECTS EARLY VOTE ON MORE COVID RELIEF

How big are we talking? Well, with goalseeked narrative estimates coming in fast and furious – after all sellsiders need to reflexively justify their bullish outlook now that stocks are surging – the first ones we have seen this morning come from Goldman and Bank of America. Here is what the former expects, as highlighted earlier:

Chilling Audio Iran threat: a plane would be flown into the U.S. Capitol Wednesday the day of Biden’s win

A terrifying message threatening to fly a plane into the Capitol building to avenge the death of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani was broadcast on air traffic control frequencies on Monday afternoon.

  • A chilling message was heard by multiple air traffic controllers in New York on Monday afternoon, according to reports
  • It delivered a threat that suggested a plane would be flown into the U.S. Capitol Wednesday on the day that Congress confirms Joe Biden’s win
  • It was heard on the day after the one-year anniversary of the death of Qassem Soleimani and promised the Iranian general would be ‘avenged’

  • He was killed in a U.S. drone strike ordered by President Trump in January 2020
  • On Tuesday, Iran issued a second warrant for Trump’s arrest over the strike
  • The threat sent over air traffic controls on Monday is not thought to be credible although it is not yet clear who sent it
  • The FBI and FAA is investigating as a breach of aviation frequencies is a crime

The Great Sports Reset: The UN Plan to Use Athletics in Their Push to “Build Back Better”

Recovering Better: Sport for Development and Peace Reopening, Recovery and Resilience Post COVID-19” spells out the ways that the sports we watch and participate in can help to usher in the brave new world that Schwab and other prominent globalists wish to foist upon us, whether we like it or not.

Sprinkled throughout with globalist buzz words such as “sustainable,” “transformative,” and “inclusive,” the document lays out how sports can be “an ends and a means in the recovery from the impacts of COVID-19.”

“The multifaceted and unprecedented impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic have torn at the already fraying social fabric, deepening inequalities, sharpening divides and heralding a need for transformative change,” writes UN Secretary General António Guterres in the forward for the brief.

“The world of sport was among those sectors most visibly affected — both hard and early. Already a pioneer and promoter of inclusive and sustainable development in an unstable and unequal world, the sporting world must now redefine and redesign itself, not only to improve its resilience to future shocks, but to broaden its contribution to the world’s efforts to meet the Sustainable Development Goals,” wrote Guterres. Today, January 6, We Learn Whether our Constitution Will Hold

January 6 is the day we learn whether our Constitution will hold and whether congressional Republicans care.

The 2020 presidential election was, in several targeted battleground states, an unconstitutional electoral exercise. Even putting aside evidence of significant fraud, virtually none of which received a hearing by our courts, events leading up to and including the November national election constituted a radical and grave departure from the federal electoral system adopted by the framers of the Constitution and the state ratification conventions. Now, let’s be clear: None of this matters to the Democrat Party, since it and its surrogates perpetrated these unconstitutional acts, as I shall soon explain. Nor does it matter to the media, which is utterly illiterate on the subject and unequivocally supports the supposed outcome in any event. But it should be of great moment and concern to the people of this country and especially to congressional Republicans in both Houses, for if the latter do not at least confront and challenge this lawlessness on January 6, when Congress meets to count the electors, it will be the GOP’s undoing and, simultaneously, the undoing of our presidential electoral system. Ultimately, it will be the people of the United States who love our republic who will be the losers.

Win, lose, or draw, on January 6, the Republicans must not act as if “the people have spoken” and be cowered into passivity or worse, such as joining the Democrat Party and media hecklers, by insisting that they are part of a lawless party seeking to “reverse the results of the election.”

Too many Republicans have already buckled, including the Senate Republican leader, Mitch McConnell, Sen. John Thune, and Rep. Adam Kinzinger. No doubt others who are unreliable and cowardly when facing the organized mob will follow. But let us not be judged by those who have intentionally and strategically manipulated our politics and the law to undermine our constitutional order.

It is they who must be condemned. Read More

US slaps Iran with fresh sanctions as Trump term nears its end

“The Trump Administration remains committed to denying revenue flowing to the Iranian regime as it continues to sponsor terrorist groups, support oppressive regimes, and seek weapons of mass destruction,” Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin says.

The United States on Tuesday blacklisted a Chinese company that makes elements for steel production, 12 Iranian steel and metals makers and three foreign-based sales agents of a major Iranian metals and mining holding company, seeking to deprive Iran of revenues as US President Donald Trump’s term winds down.

U.S. stock futures mixed as traders await results from Georgia runoff elections

U.S. stock futures were mixed early Wednesday as Wall Street kept an eye on two runoff elections in Georgia that will determine control of the Senate.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures pointed to an opening gain of about 50 points, while Nasdaq 100 futures plunged and S&P futures traded slightly lower.

The benchmark 10-year Treasury note yield, meanwhile, reached 1% for the first time since March.

UPDAT 11:15 AM: Ga. Shocker: Democrats Warnock, Ossoff Win Senate Runoffs

Democrat Raphael Warnock edged ahead of incumbent Sen. Kelly Loeffler and Democrat Jon Ossoff outpaced incumbent Republican Sen. David Perdue in Georgia’s two Senate runoffs — races that determine which party controls the Senate under a Biden administration.

Late Tuesday night, Newsmax and partner Decision HQ made the call for Warnock, who, in early-morning remarks, promised he would go to the Senate to work for all of Georgia.

“We were told that we couldn’t win this election,” said Warnock, who led by some 40,000 votes with 99 percent of the ballots counted. “But tonight, we proved that with hope, hard work and the people by our side, anything is possible.”

Newsmax and Decision HQ called the Ossoff-Perdue race for Ossoff early Wednesday after Ossoff’s lead widened to more than 16,000 votes.

Jon Ossoff, the Democrat seeking to unseat Sen. David Perdue, picked up more than 112,000 votes from DeKalb County outside Atlanta, and as of just before 2 a.m. ET, he held a slender lead of slightly more than 3,500 votes; the race proceeded like that all night, as votes came in from different strongholds across the state.

The two Georgia runoff races will determine control of the U.S. Senate and the fate of President-elect Joe Biden’s agenda and inspired record-breaking turnout and intense national interest under the specter of President Donald Trump’s push to overturn his Nov. 3 loss.

For Democrats to take control of the Senate, both Warnock and Ossoff would need to win. That would split the Senate 50-50 between Republicans and the Democratic caucus, with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris casting tie-breaking votes. Republicans only need to win one seat to hold the majority. Read More
