San Diego Police to force cops to use ‘transgender,’ ‘nonbinary’ pronouns, alter body searches for LGBT individuals

LifeSite News:  The San Diego Police Department (SDPD) are enforcing a new set of rules on interactions with individuals who identify as “transgender” and “nonbinary,” coercing their officers into using the preferred pronouns of such individuals, as well as accommodating body searches and transportation to the needs associated with their “gender identity.”

“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.” Deuteronomy 22:5 KJV

The SDPD published an updated set of guidelines on June 1 to coincide with the beginning of the so-called “Gay Pride” month, and Police Chief David Nisleit said that the rules have been developed in conjunction “with our LGBTQ community” in San Diego.

Based on a supposed commitment to “working with the diverse communities it serves,” the SDPD proceeded to implement measures that “create mutual understanding, prevent conflict, and ensure the appropriate interaction with transgender and gender non-binary individuals.”

G-7 nations are close to reaching a historic global tax deal

CNBC:

  • Finance ministers from the Group of Seven rich nations are meeting in person for the first time since the start of the Covid pandemic, after U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration gave fresh impetus to stalled global tax talks this year.
  • Rich nations have struggled for years to agree a way to raise more tax from large multinationals such as Google, Amazon and Facebook, which often book profits in jurisdictions where they pay little or no tax.

Group of Seven rich nations will seek to overcome long-standing differences on Saturday and strike a landmark deal to close the net on large companies that they say do not pay enough tax.

The proposed accord, which could form the basis of a global pact next month, is aimed at ending a decades-long “race to the bottom” in which countries have competed to attract corporate giants with ultra-low tax rates and exemptions.

That has in turn cost their public coffers hundreds of billions of dollars — a shortfall they now need to recoup all the more urgently to pay for the huge cost of propping up economies ravaged by the coronavirus crisis. Read More

Knesset to Convene Monday to Announce New Goverment, Speaker Confirms

Algemeiner: Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin said on Friday that he will announce next week that Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid has succeeded in forming a government, paving the way for the coalition to be ratified.

The announcement underscored a growing sense of optimism among the so-called “change bloc,” headed by Lapid and Yamina leader Naftali Bennett, that the ideologically motley coalition aiming to unseat Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is headed for success.

Netanyahu, Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, has sought to splinter the bloc, which in addition to Yamina and Yesh Atid also includes the Labor party, the dovish Meretz party, and the centrist Blue and White party of Defense Minister Benny Gantz, as well as the Islamic conservative party Ra’am.

Yesh Atid were understood to be apprehensive regarding Levin, a senior Likud member known to be a close ally of Netanyahu, fearing he could delay the confirmation of the coalition after Lapid made it known that his first motion would be to replace him as speaker.

China military uses AI to track rapidly increasing UFOs

Antisemitic Content Multiplied on German, French Online Platforms During COVID-19: EU Analysis

Algemeiner: Antisemitic content posted on major online platforms in German and French has skyrocketed in the first two months of the year compared with the same period last year before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, a report by the European Commission showed.

During January and February 2021, antisemitic postings saw a 13-fold surge on German language accounts and a seven-fold increase in French channels studied. The report — conducted by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), a London-based think-thank focused on extremism, and published Tuesday — is based on collated data on online antisemitic content in French and German on Twitter, Facebook and Telegram.

According to the analysis of the data, almost two thirds of the messages matching antisemitic keywords were detected on Telegram, showing it to be the platform most prone to antisemitic messaging by a large margin, compared to Facebook and Twitter.

This research points to a considerable grey area of legal but harmful [antisemitic] content and behaviors prevalent across platforms. Addressing the proliferation of such ‘legal but harmful’ antisemitic content provides a considerable challenge for tech companies and governments alike. Read More

U.S. Recovery Falls Short Again In May, Misses Expectations By More Than 100,000 Jobs

Daily Wire: The U.S. economy added 559,000 jobs last month while the unemployment rate fell from 6.1% to 5.8%.

The data, put out by the Department of Labor on Friday morning, fell short of economists’ expectations of job growth but passed expectations for the unemployment rate after April’s disastrous jobs report signaled critical issues in the United States’ recovery. Economists moderated their expectations from April to May, predicting 671,000 jobs added and an unemployment rate of 5.9%, according to The Wall Street Journal.

And the plunge in black and Asian unemployment (so don’t blame “inequality”)…

Experts were closely watching the May jobs report to see if the economy rebounded from April’s disastrous numbers when jobs added fell far short of the nearly 1 million expected and the unemployment rate ticked up to 6.1%. The May report would either confirm or alleviate fears that the April report signaled problems in the U.S. recovery. Read More

Intel Community Warns Biden of Terror Threat at Mexican Border

Washington Free Beacon: Intelligence officials told the White House in a classified briefing that individuals with ties to terrorist groups may be illegally crossing the southern border, contradicting claims by Democrats that the immigration crisis does not constitute a national security threat.

Immigrants with connections to Islamic terrorist groups have begun taking advantage of what one senior Customs and Border Protection official called “a porous border.”

In April, border patrol officers arrested two Yemeni nationals on a terrorist watch list. National security officials have pledged to assist officers in counterterrorism operations at the U.S.-Mexico border to help the strapped agency handle the influx of threats, according to a memo reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon.

The classified report on Yemeni nationals received “positive feedback” from senior Biden officials, according to one government document. It remains unclear whether the Biden administration ordered the study, which was written by Customs and Border Protection in conjunction with the National Counterterrorism Center. UN “Worried” As Global Food Prices Soar To Ten Year High

Zero Hedge: Back in December, SocGen’s resident market skeptic Albert Edwards shared with the world why he is starting to panic about soaring food prices. And since that was before food prices really took amid broken supply chains, trillions in fiscal stimulus and exploding commodity costs, off we can only imagine the sheer terror he must feel today.

A United Nations index of world food costs climbed for a 12th straight month in May, its longest stretch in a decade, rising to the highest in almost a decade, heightening concerns over bulging grocery bills.

All five components of the index rose during the month, with the advance led by pricier vegetable oils, grain and sugar.

Month after month, the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization’s food price index continues to soar to levels not seen in a decade. Soaring food prices have tremendous implications on societal trends and may result in unrest in emerging market countries if trends persist. 

For May, the FAO Food Price Index, which measures monthly changes for a basket of cereals, oilseeds, dairy products, meat, and sugar, surged to an average of 127.1 points in May, 4.8% higher than in April and 39.7% higher than in May 2020. Read More

So You Want a Zionist Government with Anti-Zionist Arab Ministers

Jewish Press: The new right-center-left government which may or may not pass a Knesset vote of confidence a week from Monday (or earlier) has reached two never before seen milestones in Israeli politics: for the first time, a religious Orthodox Jew will serve as prime minister; and two Arabs will hold ministerial portfolios.

Curiously, the left in Israel is not exceptionally troubled by a religious PM, but the right is unsettled by the Arab participation, and not because right-wing Jews are supposedly anti-Arab, but because these two Arab ministers have not accepted the Zionist narrative of the Jewish State. Neither one, in fact, attempts to hide his anti-Zionist views (keep reading below to see their most recent statements).

This proposed new government also has to be the most ideologically conflicted assembly of Israelis, never mind political parties. And about some of these coalition parties, we’re not even sure how to classify them. We know Meretz and Labor are radical left-wing. We also know Yamina and New Hope are right-wing. But is Avigdor Liberman’s Israel Beiteinu right or left?

It’s certainly right-wing on economic issues. But its bread and butter voters, Israeli Russians, object to religious restrictions associated with the Haredi parties. Likewise in Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid – Lapid rose to power in 2013 by promising to cut Haredi dependence on the dole and kept his promise – as finance minister he made sure they were so independent they could starve. But Yesh Atid is also home to some defense policy hawks with nothing in common with the likes of Meretz.
