Blinken: Iran’s ‘breakout time’ for nuclear weapons could shrink

Arutz Sheva: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned on Monday that if Iran continues to violate the 2015 nuclear deal, the “breakout time” it needs to amass enough fissile material for a single nuclear weapon will shrink to weeks.

“It remains unclear whether Iran is willing and prepared to do what it needs to do come back into compliance,” Blinken told lawmakers, according to Reuters.

“Meanwhile, its program is galloping forward. … The longer this goes on, the more the breakout time gets down … it’s now down, by public reports, to a few months at best. And if this continues, it will get down to a matter of weeks,” he added. Read More

Zero Hedge: A week ago, none other than Larry Fink poured an illiberal amount of cold water on the current inflationary narrative being spewed by Powell, Yellen, and their lackeys in academia.

The Blackrock CEO – who happens to manage more than The Fed at last check – countered soothing talk that soaring prices are here and gone tomorrow, and said that investors may be underestimating the potential for a spike in inflation.

“Most people haven’t had a forty-plus year career, and they’ve only seen declining inflation over the last 30-plus years. So this is going to be a pretty big shock”, Fink said, his warning falling on deaf ears.

Alas, unlike the Fed, Fink actually know what he is talking about: he began his career at First Boston Corp. in 1976, in during runaway US inflation, with the Consumer Price Index hitting a high of 14.8% in March 1980, and forcing Volcker to hike rates as high as 20%.

Treasury Secretary Yellen was quick to dismiss this fearmongering malarkey by claiming that while she may, possibly, kinda, sorta see higher prices, it will be transitory (because The Fed is awesome) and besides, America… it’s all good!

“If we ended up with a slightly higher interest rate environment it would actually be a plus for society’s point of view and the Fed’s point of view,” Yellen said in an interview with Bloomberg. And yes, she really said that.

Biden Supports ‘Guilty’ Muslims, Ignores ‘Innocent’ Christians

PJ Media: On May 16, President Biden issued a brief video ostensibly dedicated to expressing his support for the religious freedom of “all” people (though in reality dedicated to only one religious group):

“ If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” John 15:19

All people should be able to practice their faith with dignity, without fear of harassment or violence. We will defend the right of all, as we stand with you. That’s why I ended this shameful Muslim travel ban. And that’s why this administration will speak out for religious freedom for all people, including Uighurs in China and Rohingya in Burma.  We also believe Palestinians and Israelis equally deserve to live in safety and security and enjoy equal measure of freedom, prosperity, and democracy. My administration is going to continue to engage Palestinians and Israelis and other regional partners to work toward sustained calm.

It is hypocritical for Biden to claim that he cares about the religious rights of “all” people — when he clearly means only “all Muslims.”  So, too, is it vexing to note that, unlike those whom he totally ignores — for example, the hundreds of millions of Christians currently being persecuted at the hands of Muslims — those Muslims whom he does mention as deserving protection are not exactly innocent. 10,864 Venezuelans Cross Border Into U.S. in One Sector Alone, Up From 135

PJ Media: You read that right. Customs and Border Patrol, (CBP) reports that 10,864 Venezuelans have crossed the border this fiscal year, which began on October 1, 2020—in just the Del Rio sector. The Del Rio sector covers 47 counties and 245 miles of border along the Rio Grande in Southwest Texas. Last fiscal year the number of illegal immigrants from Venezuela was 135. If my calculator is accurate, that’s a 7947.71% increase. All thanks to Gropey Joe Biden.

Epoch Times reporter Charlotte Cuthbertson tweeted a video of Venezuelans in Texas waiting to get a lift by CBP to a processing center. One is seen on his phone utilizing his international phone plan.

It’s the same drill every time: people cross illegally, welcoming troopers hand them water and granola bars, the immigrants relieve themselves in the tall carrizo cane reeds and are soon picked up by CBP and driven to processing centers and then released. If you want to know why Kamala Harris hasn’t gone to the border it’s because she doesn’t need to. Things at the border are operating just as the Biden administration wants them to.

More than 119,000 illegal immigrants from 70 countries have been “apprehended” in the Del Rio sector alone so far this fiscal year. Read More

Israel’s F-35s Fly in Furthest Military Drill Ever, Closer to Iran

Jewish Press: Six of the newest aircraft in the Israel Air Force are in Italy this week to drill together with those from the United States and the United Kingdom in the “Falcon Strike 2021” military exercise, which is taking place between June 6 and June 17.

 “After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate …” Ezekiel 38:8

It’s the first time the F-35 has been flown in a drill outside of Israel. The exercise begins this Monday, with aircraft flying over Italian territory and over the Mediterranean Sea.

PJ Media: President Donald Trump warned you. In the name of equity and inclusion, the Biden administration is making moves that target the suburbs with federal regulation. It will pull zoning decisions away from city councils through the federal government’s typical mechanism to impose its will where it has no business intruding in our layered federalist system.

So, the Biden administration wants people to move from apartments in dense urban areas to apartments in neighborhoods in the suburbs. Not apartments in suburban towns, which often have a decent selection of apartments and townhomes for rent. The administration wants apartment buildings in developments zoned for single-family homes. They will use grants and tax credits as the carrot and eventually pull highway funds through the Booker Amendment as a stick. Read More

An Inconvenient Truth: EVs May Offer A “Negligible” CO2 Difference From ICE Vehicles

Zero Hedge: Are the carbon footprints of EVs really as drastically lower than that of internal combustion engine vehicles? When considering the amount of carbon and CO2 created from assembling lithium ion batteries, one firm thinks the difference could be “negligible”.

Such was the topic of a new blog post by natural resource investors Goehring & Rozencwajg (G&R), a “fundamental research firm focused exclusively on contrarian natural resource investments with a team with over 30 years of dedicated resource experience.”

The firm, established in 2015, posted a blog entry entitled “Exploring Lithium-ion Electric Vehicles’ Carbon Footprint” this week, where they call into question a former ICE vs. EV comparison performed by the Wall Street Journal and, while citing work performed by Jefferies, argue that there could literally be “no reduction in CO2 output” in some EV vs. ICE comparisons.

Their analysis “details the tremendous amount of energy (and by extension CO2) needed to manufacture a lithium-ion battery.” Because a typical EV is on average 50% heavier than a similar internal combustion engine, the analysis notes that the “embedded carbon” in an EV (i.e., when it rolls off the lot) is therefore 20–50% more than an internal combustion engine. JNS: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday called on Knesset lawmakers from all parties to “vote their conscience” if the so-called change coalition presents a new government to the Knesset this week.

Netanyahu, who spoke at the Likud faction meeting at the Knesset, said that the right-wing parties Yamina and New Hope were essentially disenfranchising voters by partnering with the opposition parties on the Left in an effort to end his term through what they have called a unity government.

“We are witnessing an election deceit the likes of which has never happened,” he warned. “People feel—justifiably so—that they have been conned,” he said, referring to Yamina leader Naftali Bennett agreeing to a rotating premiership with left-wing Yair Lapid, leader of Yesh Atid, as part of the prospective government that was declared last week and could be sworn in within days.

“When we talk about a dangerous left-wing government, we are speaking about a government that would forfeit the Negev and won’t be able to resist an American demand for a settlement moratorium,” warned Netanyahu. He added that the Diplomatic-Security Cabinet in the new government would rely on “terror sympathizers and would not be able to fight in Gaza or defend Israel in the International Criminal Court.”

Border Patrol: Sex Offenders Crossing the Border Are Up 3,166%

PJ Media: Less than 5 months into Gropey Joe’s “presidency” and the number of sex offenders storming the southern border has exploded. Considering that sex offenders typically, though not always, hunt within their own ethnic groups, this is terrifying news for Hispanic people.

PJ Media: U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a report stating:

Since the start of Fiscal Year 2021, Oct. 1, Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents have arrested 95 convicted sex offenders, a 3,166 percent increase over the same timeframe last fiscal year.

The horrifying increase comes months after Biden cancelled “Operation Talon” a Trump administration plan that deported illegal immigrants convicted of sex crimes.

“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says the Lord.

Biden Won’t Deport Sex Offenders

Roughly a month after taking office, Biden canceled Operation Talon, much to the dismay of nearly all of law enforcement.

US State Department shuns the term ‘Abraham Accords’

Arutz Sheva: The Biden State Department discourages employees from referring to the peace agreements signed by Israel and its Arab neighbors by its official name, the Abraham Accords, the Washington Free Beacon reported on Friday.

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease …” Daniel 9:27

According to the report, the name has also been erased from a wide array of official State Department communications as the new administration presses officials to refer to the Trump-era deals as “normalization agreements.”

The Abraham Accords were brokered last year by the Trump administration and paved the way for Israel to sign normalization deals with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and, later, Sudan and Morocco. Read More
