Kraft Heinz, Conagra Will Start Passing On Soaring Food Costs To Consumers

Zero Hedge: Late last year we noted that SocGen’s Albert Edwards warning readers that it could be time to start “panicking” about soaring food prices. 

Edwards’ research said, “keep a very close eye as to whether we see a repeat of the 2010/11 surge in food prices” because “on the 10th anniversary of the start of the Arab Spring, and with poverty having already been made much worse by the pandemic, another food price bubble could well be the straw to break the very angry camel’s back.”

While it’s not quite the spring of 2021 just yet, there are indications that soaring food costs are about to get passed on to consumers – this is terrible news for working-poor folks who are already suffering from housing and food insecurities.

According to Reuters, Kraft Heinz Co and Conagra Brands Inc warned Tuesday that price increases of wheat, sugar, and other commodities are becoming more expensive due to elevated demand. Read More

Pelosi Pushes Ahead With ‘9/11-Type Commission’ to Fight Domestic ‘War on Terror’

PJ Media: On Monday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) sent her fellow Democrats a “Dear Colleague” letter focused on “security, security, security.” She announced that Congress will establish a “9/11-type Commission” to investigate the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, specifically describing the riot as a “domestic terrorist attack.” This announcement will only fuel the Democrats’ push toward launching a domestic “War on Terror” that will likely target conservatives.

 

“It is clear from the findings and from the impeachment trial that we must get to the truth of how this happened,” Pelosi said of an investigation conducted by retired Lt. Gen. Russel L. Honoré into the Capitol riot.

“To protect our security, our security, our security, our next step will be to establish an outside, independent 9/11-type Commission to ‘investigate and report on the facts and causes relating to the January 6, 2021 domestic terrorist attack upon the United States Capitol Complex… and relating to the interference with the peaceful transfer of power, including facts and causes relating to the preparedness and response of the United States Capitol Police and other Federal, State, and local law enforcement in the National Capitol Region,’” Pelosi announced.

  • Freezing weather racked portions of the U.S. and fostered demand for fuel while simultaneously threatening to hamstring oil production in Texas.
  • The jump in oil prices WTI crude futures up 24% so far in 2021. It touched its highest level since January 2020.
  • “Frigid weather means that many oil wells may be shut in. Water is produced along with oil, that water can freeze up equipment,” oil analyst Andy Lipow wrote over the weekend

James Dobson calls out Biden for ‘radical agenda’

WND: James Dobson, the founder of the James Dobson Family Institute and the host of “Family Talk” radio programs on hundreds of stations across the nation, has advised five presidents on family and faith issues.

On his first day in office, Dobson wrote, Biden began “to reveal his radical agenda for our nation.”

“When joined with the influence of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, a sweeping takeover by the radical left is occurring at lightning speed,” he said. “They have seized power in all three branches of government, and it is operating pell-mell without checks and balances.”

Suddenly, Dobson wrote, the leftist dream of “a socialist-totalitarian state … appears to be within reach.”

For supporters of a constitutional republic, it is “deeply troubling.”

“Who would have believed that a coup of this scope could occur overnight within this greatest nation on earth? Cherished freedoms that have been enjoyed and protected for 232 years are now in serious jeopardy. Among them are religious liberty, free speech, and the right to own and bear arms. Everything that has defined America is being threatened or destroyed,” he said.

“President Biden, though old and frail, is the spearhead for what amounts to a cultural revolution. He and those around him are jerking the nation 180 degrees to the left. The mechanism they are using to get this done is a flurry of executive orders that bypass the legislative process,” which he described as “an audacious expression of raw power.”

No other president in recent decades has come anywhere near to signing the number of orders by Biden in the first weeks in office.

And while the number is concerning, the greater worry is “how radical” most of them are.

Bill Gates Goes Full Captain Planet, Wants To Change ‘Every Aspect Of Economy’ While We Dine On Fake Meat

Breitbart: Microsoft founder Bill Gates is pushing drastic and ‘fundamental’ changes to the economy in order to immediately halt the release of greenhouse gasses – primarily carbon dioxide – and ‘go to zero’ in order to save the planet from long-prognosticated (and consistently wrong) environmental disaster.

Changes we’ll need to make in order to realize Gates’ vision include:

  • Allocating $35 billion per year on climate and clean energy research
  • Electric everything.
  • Widespread consumption of fake meat, since cows account for ‘4% of all greenhouse gases.’
  • Retooling the steel and cement industries, which Gates says account for 16% of all carbon dioxide emissions, to inject up to 30% of captured C02 into concrete, and create a different type of steel.
  • Widespread adoption of next generation nuclear energy to supplement wind and solar.

And since producing plants to make fake meat emits gases as well, Gates has backed a company which uses fungus to make sausage and yogurt, which the billionaire calls “pretty amazing.” Read More

Israel to begin reopening – for the vaccinated

Arutz Sheva: Israel’s Coronavirus Cabinet voted Sunday evening to expand the reopening of the Israeli economy and remove additional restrictions on public activity starting next week, Kan reported.

The decision is aimed primarily at people who have received the coronavirus vaccine, while the unvaccinated will continue to be barred from a number of venues.

While street shops and houses of worship will be open to all, regardless of their vaccination status, limits on the number of people permitted to gather inside at any one given time will remain.

Biden’s DHS Releasing Border Crossers into U.S. Without Coronavirus Tests

Breitbart: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is not requiring all border crossers to get tested for the Chinese coronavirus before releasing them into the United States, the agency confirmed to Breitbart News.

A DHS spokesperson responded to a question from Breitbart News about whether President Joe Biden supported mandatory coronavirus testing for border crossers released into the U.S. interior.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is not requiring all border crossers to get tested for the Chinese coronavirus before releasing them into the United States, the agency confirmed to Breitbart News.

A DHS spokesperson responded to a question from Breitbart News about whether President Joe Biden supported mandatory coronavirus testing for border crossers released into the U.S. interior.

This week, Breitbart News reported that 25,600 migrants enrolled in the Remain in Mexico program are to be released into communities in El Paso and Brownsville, Texas, and San Diego, California. The mass release effort comes after Biden ended the program despite its effectiveness in drastically reducing asylum fraud.

Data from the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University (TRAC) has previously revealed that about 85 percent of asylum cases by Central Americans are rejected and a total of nearly 70,000 migrants were returned to their native countries after not meeting asylum requirements since the program was created. Read More
