The top 1 percent are evading $163 billion a year in taxes, the Treasury finds.

DNYUZ:  The wealthiest 1 percent of Americans are the nation’s most egregious tax evaders, failing to pay as much as $163 billion in owed taxes per year, according to a new Treasury Department report released on Wednesday.

The analysis comes as the Biden administration is pushing lawmakers to embrace its ambitious proposal to invest in beefing up the Internal Revenue Service to narrow the “tax gap,” which it estimates amounts to $7 trillion in unpaid taxes over a decade.

The White House has proposed investing $80 billion in the tax collection agency over the next 10 years to hire more enforcement staff, overhaul its technology and usher in new information-reporting requirements that would give the government greater insight into tax evasion schemes.

Survey Shows World Jewish Population Rose to 15.2 Million in 5781, Just Shy of 1939’s 16.6 Million

Times of Israel: According to the Jewish Agency for Israel, the number of Jews worldwide stands at approximately 15.2 million, compared to 15.1 million in 5781. In 1939, the global population of Jewish people reached 16.6 million, and shortly thereafter that population was decimated by the Nazis and their European henchmen from France, Holland and Belgium in the West to Poland, the Baltic States, and Ukraine in the East. In six years, the worldwide Jewish population had fallen by more than a third.

For from the top of the rocks I see him,
And from the hills I behold him;
There! A people dwelling alone,
Not reckoning itself among the nations.” Numbers 23:9

The number of Jews in Israel is close to 6.9 million (compared to 6.8 million in 5781), while about 8.3 million live outside Israel (including around 6 million in the United States). The updated estimates by Professor Sergio Della Pergola of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will be published in the American Jewish Year Book 2021.

Desperately Seeking Sedition

American Greatness: Twitter account called #SeditionHunters has nearly 49,000 enthusiastic followers. The group describes itself loftily as a “global community of open-source intelligence investigators (OSINT)”—nice haughty touch with the acronym—“working together to assist the U.S. FBI and Washington D.C. Capitol Police in finding people who allegedly committed crimes in the January 6 capitol riots.” Its website includes a list of “#SeditionInsiders,” with images of 1,889 people observed inside the Capitol building on January 6, several hundred of whom have been arrested and charged, but not yet tried.

“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.” Exodus 23:1 ESV

The trouble is, not one of those people has been charged with actual sedition, a major felony that carries up to 20 years in federal prison—which is what #SeditionHunters ostensibly is hunting.

Although several Capitol rioters have been indicted for assault and a handful face conspiracy charges (though, notably, not seditious conspiracy), the vast majority of the people arrested in the aftermath of the Capitol breach face misdemeanor counts such as trespassing, “entering and remaining in a restricted building,” and disorderly conduct. Should any be convicted, many (if Politico is to be believed) are unlikely to receive jail time.

The Everything Shortage & Price Hikes Plastered All Over Fed’s “Beige Book”

“We need lower consumer demand to give supply chains time to catch up… recover efficiency… and break this vicious circle”: CEO of Maersk’s APM Terminals, one of the largest container port operators.

Wolf Street: Today’s release of the Fed’s “Beige Book“ – an informal narrative of the economy as told by small and large companies in the 12 Federal Reserve districts – listed “shortage” 77 times, up from 19 times in January.

And their gold will be like refuse;
Their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them

IDF soldiers come under fire during Judea and Samaria riots

Arutz Sheva: An IDF patrol came under fire in Ramallah today (Wednesday). There were no casualties and soldiers responded to the fire by dispersing demonstrators.

During the day, terrorist organizations called on PA civilians to attack security forces and terrorists imprisoned in Israeli jails to engage in provocations, resulting in two prisons being set on fire by jailed terrorists in response to Israeli security officials’ search for six prisoners, including at least four “lifers,” who escaped the Gilboa Prison early Monday morning.

Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he ambushed him on the way when he came up from Egypt: 1 Sam. 15:1-2

Security prisoners affiliated with the Islamic Jihad terror group clashed with prison guards and set fire to cells in the Ketziot and Rimon prisons, setting seven cells in the Ketziot Prison on fire, along with two cells in the Rimon Prison. Read More

RUSSIA TURNS ON ISRAEL: BLASTS IDF AIRSTRIKES IN SYRIA

Russian Ambassador to Syria Alexander Yefimov on Thursday harshly criticized the recent string of alleged Israeli airstrikes in Syria, saying that they undermine joint Kremlin-Damascus efforts to stabilize the country, and even pose a threat to civilian air traffic.

His claims seem to contradict previous Israeli statements regarding ongoing security coordination and cooperation between Moscow and Jerusalem in the Syrian arena. As a reminder, following Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi last month, it was reported that the sides agreed that Israel could continue acting freely in Syria.

In an interview with Russian News Agency TASS, Yefimov noted that any talk about normalizing the situation in Syria would only be possible after the Bashar Assad regime can conduct full-fledged anti-terrorist activities throughout the country, without interference and obstacles from unfriendly external forces.

The Russian ambassador said that after the last terrorist strongholds were eliminated in the suburbs of Damascus in the summer of 2018, many aspects of life in the city had improved, but that it was too early to talk about completely returning to a peaceful existence. Read More @ Israel 365 HERE

“O mortal, turn your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. Prophesy against him” Ezekiel 38:2 (The Israel BibleTM)

Moscow was seen taking a radical new course on Israel’s air strikes over Syria after the raid near Aleppo early Tuesday, July 20. First, its military for the first time revealed details of the Israeli raid and claimed as never before that Russian-made systems downed “seven of eight guided missiles.

Putin Flexes His Muscles in Syria in Test of Israel’s New Leader

A more abrasive relationship could go beyond inflaming tensions with Prime Minister Naftali Bennett

Now threats come from Russian Ambassador to Syria Alexander Yefimov who harshly criticized the recent string of alleged Israeli airstrikes in Syria.

If not for one verse in Ezekiel 38:8 we could conclude that the Gog Magog invasion is eminent.

“After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety.”

There is one war in prophecy that involves all of Israel’s hostile neighbors, that is still future, that could fit perfectly, Psalm 83″

“Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation,

The Taliban’s Palestinian partners: Implications for the Middle East peace process

JNS: Taliban’s reconquest of Afghanistan, followed by the ISIS-K bombing that killed 13 U.S. military personnel and scores of civilians, underscores the far-reaching implications of the U.S. withdrawal from the country. The mujahideen’s takeover of Kabul, following a 20-year U.S. counter-terror campaign against Al-Qaeda and other jihadi groups in Afghanistan, has reenergized the global jihad’s slow and determined war against the West.

“Remember what the Amalekites did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt.’ Deut. 25:17

In the Middle East, where symbolism and imagery define reality, the American evacuation represents one of the most significant defeats of what Osama bin Laden referred to as “the Zionist-Crusader alliance” since Al-Qaeda’s mass terror attack on Sept. 11, 2001, that killed 2,996 people (including 19 Al-Qaeda terrorists).

Bank of Japan Ends its Massive QE that Started when Abenomics Became Economic Religion of Japan

One of the largest central banks ends QE. End of an era for Japan: Large-scale money printing was one of the three official legs of Abenomics.

Wolf Street: In terms of the absolute mountain of assets the Bank of Japan purchased over the years, it is one of the top three QE monsters, along with the Fed and the ECB.  In relationship to GDP, the BoJ’s total assets are #2, behind the tiny Swiss National Bank, which runs the unique racket of using the overhyped strength of the swiss franc to print large amounts of it and buy securities denominated in foreign currencies, including large amounts of US stocks; but it’s not buying securities denominated in Swiss francs.

When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a pale horse …” Rev. 6:7

Total assets on the BoJ’s balance sheet generally decline every third month as large amounts of long-term bonds mature and are redeemed, which is when the BoJ gets its money back, and the bonds come off the balance sheet. For this reason, we look at the three-month moving average of the increases in total assets.

As of its balance sheet through August 31, the three-month moving average of total assets increased by an average of only ¥690 billion ($6.3 billion) per month, the smallest increase since 2012, before Abenomics became the economic religion of the land. This marks the end of Abenomics QE:

The BoJ’s blistering QE binge started with “Abenomics,” the economic religion imposed on the land in 2013 Read More
