Iran’s Ruthless New President Takes Over As Supreme Leader Calls for ‘Competent, Jihadi, Intelligent Management’

PJ Media: Ebrahim Raisi, who is one of the people responsible for the murder of 5,000 dissidents in Iran in 1988, became the president of the Islamic Republic on Tuesday. On the same day, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, whom Twitter considers less of a threat to the peace of the world than Donald Trump, tweeted:

“Today, our dear country is thirsty for valuable service & it needs competent, jihadi, intelligent, courageous management that can use the manifest and hidden capabilities of the nation, which are much greater in scope than the problems, for constructive work and endeavor.”

“After these things King Ahasuerus promoted Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him and set his seat above all the princes who were with him.” Esther 3:1

In Raisi, it looks as if Khamenei has just the competent, jihadi leadership he is looking for, although Biden’s handlers don’t seem concerned in the least: They’re still indefat

“Jihadi,” of course, is a word capable of varying interpretations. “Jihad” in Arabic means struggle, and there are as many kinds of jihad in the Arabic and Islamic worlds as there are different kinds of struggles in English. The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran itself has a Department of Agricultural Jihad, which has nothing to do with blowing things up on the farm, but simply with struggling to increase the productivity and efficiency of the nation’s agricultural sector.

But Khamenei, as a Shi’ite cleric, knows well that the primary meaning of “jihad” in Islamic theology and law is warfare against unbelievers for the ultimate purpose of subjugating them under the hegemony of Islamic law. Read More

Israel Conducts Biggest Airstrikes On Lebanon Since 2006 War

Zero Hedge: A rare, major cross-border exchange of fire between Israel and militants in Lebanon has flared-up on Wednesday into Thursday after three rockets were initially launched from southern Lebanon, which Israeli officials say struck inside Israeli territory, causing brush fires with some reports saying up to four injuries.

For behold, Your enemies make a tumult;
And those who hate You have lifted up their head.” Psalm 83:3

The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) then hit back with artillery fire on the launch positions, followed by airstrikes, reportedly on Marjayoun district in the south. “Israel responded with several rounds of artillery fire on Wednesday before launching air strikes early on Thursday,” the military announced. The IDF later indicated it blanketed the target zone with over 100 artillery strikes.

COVID hits all-vaccinated Carnival Vista cruise-ship staff, passengers

WND: It was Ronald Reagan who once said, the “nine most terrifying words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.'”

These days that might be reworded – “I’m from the government. I’m here with your vaccination.”

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32 KJV

Vaccines never are guaranteed – that’s why the U.S. government makes their manufacturers immune to lawsuits over the damages and death they can deliver – and they especially are suspect when they are developed and delivered while the pandemic they confront actually is continuing.

The COVID vaccines now available in the United States also still are all considered experimental.

And there probably is no more clear an illustration of that uncertainty as the recent announcement from Carnival that there are positive COVID cases aboard its Carnival Vista cruise ship.

That’s because, according to The Liberty Daily, every staff member and every guest on the ship was vaccinated. Read More

July Payrolls Beat Expectations Rising 943,000 As Unemployment Rate Tumbles

CNBC: With consensus expectations calling for a July payrolls print of 858K and whisper numbers starting at 1 million and rising (and Goldman going so far as expecting 1.175MM), moments ago the BLS reported that in July payrolls came in at a goldilocks 943K, comfortably beating the consensus but below a print that could be considered a clear trigger for “substantial progress” although likely sufficient for the Fed to signal the start of tapering at Jackson Hole.

While payrolls were solid, the unemployment rate was stellar, sliding from 5.9% to 5.4%, beating expectations of 5.7% as the number of people employed according to the Household Survey soared by 1.043 million to 152.645 million as the number of people um

Validating the solid unemployment rate data, the civilian participation rate also rose modestly from 61.6% to 61.7%. Read More

Biden to Push for Dirty Electric Cars Our Power Grids Aren’t Ready to Support

PJ Media: Joe Biden can’t go a single day without issuing some edict on behalf of his leftist supporters. The man who ran as a moderate Democrat will reportedly push for about half of all U.S. cars to be electric just nine years from now.

President Joe Biden will set a new national target on Thursday for the adoption of electric vehicles, calling for them to represent half of all new auto sales by 2030, according to senior administration officials.

“He who trusts in his own heart is a fool,
But whoever walks wisely will be delivered.” Proverbs 28:26

The target is expected to be supported by companies such as General MotorsFord Motor and Stellantis, formerly Fiat Chrysler. Executives of the Detroit automakers are scheduled to attend an event Thursday at the White House and pledge EV sales of between 40% and 50% by 2030.

Of course they will. They’re all rent-seekers now and seek to curry favor with the government that will buy up a whopping proportion of the EVs they make.

Toyota may remain notably quiet about this. The world’s largest automaker has repeatedly warned that our power grids aren’t ready to power billions of EVs.

Elon Musk has said the same, and he’s atop the world’s largest EV automaker, Tesla. Neither Toyota nor Tesla oppose EVs. Neither do I, for that matter. They just don’t think our grids are ready to power them without very significant investment and overhauls. Who is going to pay for that? Biden’s bloated infrastructure bill doesn’t address it.

The alleged moderate Biden isn’t done messing with your car. Read More

CDC Discusses Confinement, Internment Camps for Those at High Risk of China Virus

New American: The Centers for Disease Control is openly discussing internment camps for individuals with a high risk of contracting the China Virus.

Although a document at the CDC website appears to refer to settings outside the United States, the suggestion that governments should erect safe zones to quarantine healthy but at-risk people should alarm Americans already faced with mask and vaccine mandates.

Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished;
But the posterity of the righteous will be delivered’ PROVERBS 11:21

In New York City, for instance, hard-left Mayor Bill de Blasio has closed some public venues to those who aren’t vaccinated, and the state legislature has passed a bill to indefinitely arrest and contain those who don’t have the contagious disease.

It’s a short step from those measures to mandated confinement of the type CDC contemplates. Read More

Tucker Carlson: Rochelle Walensky now makes the laws, and she’s taking your private property

Fox News: The CDC gathers information about diseases and then releases guidance about those diseases to the country. The CDC does not make laws in this country. It’s not allowed to. Under the U.S. Constitution, making laws is the exclusive role of Congress.

“You shall not set your desire on your neighbor’s house or land…or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” Deut. 5:21 ESV

You vote for your senators and congressmen and they decide what the rules are. That’s known as representative democracy. It’s been our system for nearly 250 years. But apparently, it is now over. Rochelle Walensky now makes the laws. Walensky announced today that she has decided to nationalize America’s rental properties, millions and millions of them from Maine to California. Tenants are no longer required to pay their rent.

Property owners cannot evict them under any circumstances. Making someone pay to live on your property is now a federal crime. Try it, and you can wind up in prison, with hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines. At the same time, you should know, property owners will still be required to pay the banks that hold their mortgages. There’s no moratorium on mortgages.

Why? The banks are huge Democratic donors, and they’re getting the treatment they paid for. Sandy Cortez and The Squad aren’t calling for the banks to do their part. It’s property owners who will suffer, many of them members of the rapidly disappearing American middle class.  Read More

Gantz: ‘Israel Ready to Strike Iran to Stop Atomic Program, Regional Aggression’

Algemeiner: Defense Minister Benny Gantz said in an interview Thursday that Israel was ready to strike Iran as the shadow war that the two have fought over recent years threatens to break out into the open.

Speaking to Ynet, Gantz was asked directly if Israel was prepared to attack the Islamic Republic, to which he responded in the affirmative, reported the Jerusalem Post. The defense minister added similar sentiments to those aired Wednesday at a meeting with diplomats from member states of the United Nations Security Council when he said that Iran was not only a menace to Israel, but also the region and the entire world.

“Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops—many people are with you.” Ezekiel 38:5-6

Despite Iran’s denials and protestations that it is not seeking to use its nuclear program for the development of atomic weapons, but rather domestic energy consumption, the Jewish state is confident that the Islamic Republic — even during the days of the so-called Iran deal signed in 2015 — is attempting to develop the capabilities to manufacture a nuclear arsenal, while delivering those warheads via its highly-advanced ballistic missile program.

Gantz referenced the recent deadly suicide UAV attack against the commercial vessel Mercer Street in the Gulf of Oman last week, in which a British citizen and a Romanian national were killed — which Iran has denied being involved with.

“Iran seeks to pose a multi-front challenge to Israel and is building up its forces in Lebanon and Gaza, deploying militias in Syria and Iraq, and maintaining its supporters in Yemen. Read More
