PJ Media: Taxpayers will foot the bill for experimental and extremely controversial transgender “treatments” including cross-sex hormones and surgeries that arguably harm healthy bodies in the pursuit of transgender identity. These surgeries, which involve the removal of healthy sexual organs, can cost as much as $200,000.

On January 25, President Joe Biden issued an order explicitly championing transgender identity in the military. He reversed former President Donald Trump’s policy, which did not ban transgender Americans from the military but did insist that all service members serve according to their biological sex, not their gender identity.
Biden’s order directed the secretary of defense and the secretary of homeland security to “establish a process by which transgender service members may transition gender while serving,” although it remained unclear whether or not taxpayers would get stuck with the bill for transgender surgery.
Later that day, however, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced that the Department of Defense would endorse transgender identity and pay for “transition related care.” Read More
Jerusalem online: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has urged European countries that are participants of the nuclear deal to refrain from using threats or pressure in any negotiations with the country.

On Wednesday, Rouhani received Ireland’s foreign minister Simon Coveney amid diplomatic attempts to restore the Iranian nuclear deal, also formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
“The best way to resolve problems with European partners at various bilateral, regional and international levels is negotiation based on mutual respect and the avoidance of any threat or pressure,” Rouhani said at the meeting, according to the Iranian Presidency’s press release.
Rouhani emphasized the country’s commitment to abiding by the terms of the deal and condemned the “inaction” of its European partners.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran is committed to the deal and its preservation and is the only party that has paid for it, but this cannot continue this way, and full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231 by all members is essential for maintaining and reviving the JCPOA,” he said. Biden pledged to reverse the Mexico City Policy, which prevents taxpayers from funding abortion overseas. Gundlach explains the title of today’s webcast “Looking Backward”, which is a nod to a novel written in 1888, and where the protagonist of Edward Bellamy’s socialist-utopian novel goes into a trance in 1887 and awakens in 2000. Gundlach says the novel resembles situations in society today. In the novel the protagonist finds a year 2000 described as having shorter working weeks and equal distribution of goods. In the book, Boston is part of a totally changed world in which the U.S. has been transformed to a socialist utopia, which includes internet and full-benefits retirement at 45.
