Christopher Barraud: U.S. 30-year mortgage rates have rebounded sharply since two weeks with the 30-year treasury yields spiking above 2.25% on Thursday (highest since January 2020). The recent shock to the Fannie Mae 30-year mortgage — used as a benchmark for U.S. home loans — was meaningful. On a 5-day basis, outside of one time during the Covid crisis last spring, it was the biggest percentage rise in mortgage rates on record.

Jewish Press: The official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported late Sunday night that Israel fired missiles from the direction of the Golan Heights, targeting an area in the vicinity of Damascus.
“Syrian air defenses intercepted an Israeli missiles aggression on Sunday over Damascus and shot down most of them.
“A military source announced that at 10:16 p.m. on Sunday, the Israeli enemy launched an air aggression from the direction of the Occupied Syrian Golan and targeted some posts in the vicinity of Damascus, adding that the Syrian Air defenses intercepted the hostile missiles and shot down most of them,” SANA reported.

“Biden has failed in his number one duty as chief executive, enforcing America’s laws,” the former president argued. “This alone should be reason enough for Democrats to suffer withering losses in the mid-terms and to lose the White House decisively four years from now.”
Trump attacked Biden for “bragging about the classroom education they are providing” to migrant children on the border while covering for “anti-science school closures.”
“Joe Biden sold out America’s children to the teachers’ unions,” Trump declared, referencing the fact that Biden has excused the continued closure of schools, even though the data shows that children are unlikely to contract or spread the virus. “His position is morally inexcusable, you know that. American Military News: The threat level for U.S. troops in Iraq has been raised on Friday over concerns of retaliation over U.S. airstrikes in Syria on Thursday night.
The heightened threat level was raised by Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve and could last for several days. It was first reported by Fox News, who cited two sources familiar with the matter.
“Protection of coalition troops is the #1 priority, so taking force protection levels higher is wise and prudent,” one source told Fox News.

That is a lie. More to the point, since it’s a lie that claims that Jews are deliberately causing the deaths of non-Jews, Che’s jibe wasn’t merely a hurtful jibe, but a modern version of the ancient blood libel that has been used to fuel anti-Semitic violence against Jews throughout history.
